Best 3 Upgrade offers?
Options
My Three contract is close to finishing. Currently on Talk&Text600 via e2save with 12mths free line rental. happy with 3 service and want to keep same number and same type of contract.
tried asking their upgrade dept to give me a good offer. Best i could get was Nokia 6280 with 6mths free line rental and remaining 6mth at £30.mth. Is this a good deal? or have others managed to get better deals from 3?
I haggled hard on the phone and even requested my PAC code but they would not give me 7 or 8 mths free line rental. And they dont give any free PAYGO SIM cards so i can use my old 3 phone again.
any views...?

When i left 3 they offered to convert my old simcard into a pay as you go care.
Ditch it and take out another contract with 3... Simple as..A bargain is only a bargain if you would have brought it anyway!0 -
Just upgraded with '3'
They gave me a free Sony Ericsson k800i, 500 mins and 100 texts (which I was already on) and £180 credit on my account (equivelent to 6 months free or 12 months 1/2 price). This is a 12 month contract0 -
Upgraded today as well.
Offered me a 6280, on a talk text 600, with 6 months credit.
However im on talk text 900. would offer a credit of 6 months on a 6280. But i wanted N70 to run tomtom, best i could get was 5 months free or £199.75 credit on my account.
Didnt ask for N80 which i had previously been asking for, for the last 3 weeks when it had been out of stock, as found out it doesnt run tomtom.
Previously had been offered k800, with 6 months credit
All on 12 month contractsA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.0 -
My g/friend is in exactly the same boat - 12 month contract nearly up via e2save.
When I recently left 3 they offered me the equiverlent of 9 months free and I could pick any phone - I would have stayed with them if I hadnt already got a replacement phone, saves all the cashback hassle!!
I'm hoping they offer the same to her - either the k800i or teh new nokia pda one (flog on ebay for £250!)0 -
i'm on the talk and text 600 and managed to get 7 months free and the Sony Ericsson k800i for free on a twelve month contract after calling twice. They refused both times, then called me back after half an hour to say their manager had agreed to the 7 months. So if you dont get the deal first time round call again. It all comes down to who you speak to. Some managers will go that bit extra.0

i have tried loads of times calling them to haggle for a good deal. best they will give is 6mths free no more.
only other option is to switch to a free deal via e2save with orange or o2.0 -
These upgrade deals are much better than are being offered to new customers with a K800i on any network through any retailer.
Talk & Text 600 for 12 months costs £155 for the handset and £30pm with no cashbacks from e2save as a new customer! One of the cheapest new customer K800i deals over 12 months I have found is through e2save on Vodafone 350 and costs £215 for the year inclusive of quidco rebate.
I might try calling Three's upgrades department and try to get a good deal as a new customer! What's their number?:D0 -
I managed to get the Nokia 6233 on Talk and Text £500. £30/mth for 12mths with £200 cashback. She tried to sell me a SIM PAYG for £17.50 but its only £9.99 on Three website (£5 via Quidco).0

There are some good deals here I might try again after being only offered a V3X with 5 months credit (think on 400T&T)
Whats the best anyone has had on an N73?
Failing that I will aim for a K800i with £180 rebate.
I'm assuming that people got these upgrades recently and just by ringing through to disconnections.
I have already asked for my PAC code so will see how they do!0
