It may well be prone to being squatted, I dont wish that on you.

Jowos suggestions are good. A timer is of absolutely no importance im afraid a squatter can sense them a mile off.

All depends what sort of area it is in and whether the location makes it vulnerable.

thanks for all suggestions. have checked insurance so know thats ok.its been empty for ages before we bought,so I think I just have to check all secure,and hope for the best
