Can Fabe UGGS be bad for your health

I can only assume that many of the celebs are wearing fakes as well then as Sienna Miller was shuffling along on a celeb programme last week and Kate Moss was doing a very odd little rolling walk to keep her feet as flat as possible on an old report about her on the news.
They're wearing fakes or they're just fruitcakes that walk funny...One or the other.
My gf has genuine uggs, never noticed her walking strangely at all in them. I paid full price and have to say, I'd probably do the same again - she's *lived* in the things for a couple of years, they still look much as they did when new...and they've *got* to be better for her feet than the other shoes she wears, that contort her toes into weird shapes, cut into her feet etc...
I have a pair of ugg-style slippers for pottering around the house in now - really warm and cosy - but wouldn't be seen dead in them outside the house

Reminds me of a bit in Peter Kay...
"There she was just a-walkin' down the street
Singin' Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do
Snappin' her fingers and shufflin' her feet"
They must have had Uggs in mind when they wrote that...:rotfl:0 -

Sorry shouldn't laugh but apparently Ugg boots were only intended to be slippers for indoor use. - And a typical sign of aging is forgetting to change out of your slippers before going out!
Ohhh people keep trundling out this line! NO they weren't! The history of the UGG tells that they were originally worn by Australian Surfers to keep their feet warm when they came out of the water. They were also worn way back in world war 2 by Air Force Pilots to try and combat the cold as they flew. Hardly slippers.
And if you want any more proof what did Neolithic Man wear? Thats right, Sheepskin boots!
And for the record, well made sheepskin boots of any brand do not require you to "shuffle" as you walk. Not everyone wears the cheap brands.0 -

Haha you haven't been to Boston, Lincs - EVERYONE wears cheap copies here! There is an abundance of cheap chavs here!
People approaching Boston on a Saturday will hear a low hum, on arrival they find that it is the hundreds of teenagers shuffling through town.
In the future it will be known as the Boston Hum.
On the plus side at least the pavements get polished. My daughters are my world0 -

As I said, I cant speak for those who wear the £10 knock offs, but personally I wear the proper sheepskin reinforced heel versions and I most certainly don't shuffle.0 -

Deckers would like to dispute it, however it has been proven in photos that the Ugg was around long before Deckers got their mitts on them, and amazingly none of the photos are taken indoors
Watch "The Good, The Bad and The Ugg Boot" some nice photos in there of surfers and WWII Pilots0 -
