This is a great forum http://www.petforums.co.uk/ but sadly is down at the moment, back up tomorrow.

If i was you i would put her and the kittens back in the cage. They need to be kept warm!! Maybe put it in the living room if she wants to be with you.

Me too - I think she's just worried - maybe put a blanket over the top of the cage too so that you can peek in but for her it feels quiet and safe???

Have done just that, All seems to be quiet for now.
  • To be honest Merlin - you may have to let nature take it's course - your kitty is probably less worried than you ( and now me) are ;)
Keep us posted though. fingers crossed that she'll be nice to them. LCx

i had this when my cat had kittens i ended up locking my girl in an old dog crate i had it was big enough to have a litter tray and food in there after 2 days i kept the door open i had to bring the crate in the livingroom so my girl was near me though as she just kept calling for me.is she feeding the kittens at all hun? have you tryed putting the babys to the nipple for them to feed i also had to do this with one as i just wasnt getting the hang of it he got there in the end though, my girl was fine with me helping her with the kittens just depends on your girl i suppose

She's feeding them all now, but one of them she keeps tipping out the nest so we put him back. Just got to keep an eye on him now. His quiet fiesty though he had a good old wander round the cage.

Glad she is feeding them ,how many kittens does she have? it might be an idea to feed the mum kitten food until the kittens are weaned as it has more nutriants
