White iPhonefacia/back to replace my black one

Hi all.
I have a 3gs with a black back and wanted to replace it with one of the black ones. Does anyone know where can I get an original white Apple "back "?
Are these easy to fit?
Will it invalidate my warenty in any way?

you can't exchange the backs, they're not facia's. This is the main reason why you vcan't take the battery out. If you have a black Iphone...you're pretty much stuck with a black Iphone

Really!?!?
I know people sometime break their screens, and they can be replaced so why not the backs? Surely if can be assembled, it can be disassembled and, if I can find a spare back, I should be able to fit it.

my friend has a purple back so am sure u cn change it......im waiting on my iphone coming in to stock but ive bought diff coloured backs so i hope so

You can't change the back. You can however get a clip on cover which fits very snugly and looks just like a real back. Just please don't skimp and get a very cheap one, I got a pink one from ebay for something silly like £1.67, it gradually broke into pieces and it wasn't until I took it off that I saw that tiny shards of the broken cover have scratched the back of my iPhone :(
So yes I would suggest paying a bit more for a decent one.

As said above, you can buy clip on covers that fit on top of the back of the Iphone but you cannot change the back cover of an Iphone, not unless you're planning to literally take the phone phone into a million little pieces, it's not like Nokia fascias of old.

It's quite complicated but it can be done.
$50 odd dollars does seem a bit expensive for a piece of plastic though!!!

I sell the housing kits (only for the 3g 8GB at the moment) and i will you they look hard and confusing to repair! the amount of little bits of plastic...

I would get a professional to do it if I was you!
