Your advice was completely incorrect and unfortunately badly trained script monkeys like yourself give some ISP's a very bad name by religiously following their script.
You obviously did not understand what James123 posted, when he stated that "the modem is wired directly into the NTE5 vie a NTE2000".
You should request more training as you are obviously not properly equipped to do your support role properly, if you are not familiar with a BT NTE2000 faceplate filter used by many.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
