I am thinking of changing from my £40 pm deal with CPW to Virgin web tarrif of £18. Sounds a good deal as you get unlimited text and web with 300 mins calls. (If you can better that let me know!)

I need to buy a new phone and don't have that much dosh so was thinking of the NOKIA 6303 at £79.99. Has anyone got this phone - someone told me that its not that powerful and the internet connection not that good. I would be really grateful if you could let me have your feedback as the web connection is important to me.

Cheers
Jay

Its not 3g so the internet not high speed internet but ok if you are not going to be viewing heavy graphic web sites or videos (impossible I say for videos).

Otherwise its ok for texting - I set it up for my bro and he likes it (he had the 6300 before). Battery life is better than the 6300 I think and camera is better.

Thanks so much for quick response. Do appreciate it.

I would really only be using the web part of the phone for hotmail stuff as I do not have access to internet at home. From what you are saying sounds like its OK for that so unless any body else has any other comments I'll go with that once my contract finishes end of March.

    Cheers again

I posted this deal in another thread (and am on the verge of ordering it myself).

It's T-Mobile's £15 a month tariff which includes 300 mins and 300 text, unlimited Internet and a free flexible booster thrown in (I like the unlimited landline calls).

With the £36 Samsung Galaxy Portal, a decent enough handset for browsing, I think it's a real bargain.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry if I am a bit dense but what is a flexible booster?
Have I got this right - 300 mins text and 300 mins mobile calls and unlimited calls to landline?
I'll look at the Samsung phone you mentioned. I assumed you had to pay more to get a decent speed for the internet.

    Yes, you have that right.

The flexible booster is a free addon that you can change once a month or so. Unlimited texts, landline calls, calls to USA... that sort of thing.

How long do you have to tie in for? The Virgin one is on a flexible tariff so you can change if needed.

The tie-in is 24 months for the main contract. The booster can be changed every month I think.

Blooming expensive for 24 month contract at £15 for an average phone.
Got my bro the 6303 on 12 month contract (with more mins, texts and free internet) and paying nowhere near that after cashbacks - deal gone now though :-).
