Hibiscrub............ bought in the chemist for a couple of quid for a bottle that could last you a year. It is the pink stuff that the medics use for washing their hands and is an antibacterial. I thought it would be really harsh but it isn't.
Just use the tiniest drop for washing your face morning and night, you'll soon find out how much you need. After this use your usual moisturiser, I was advised to use Simple, and carry on with any make up etc.
My son used it for acne and it worked like magic.
Would be interested to hear if anyone else tries it.
Which chemist did you get the hibiscrub from? MY son has spots on his back and chest, not too bad at the moment, and he'd prefer to try to get rid of them himself before seeing the doctor.

Do you have curly hair? curly haired models i knew NEVER used shampoo - they'd use the american 'curly girl' method, which basically means 'washing' your hair with conditioner only - the cheaper the better.
This may be a silly question, but do you wash with conditioner and leave on for a while or do you use a little conditioner rinse then put conditioner on and leave.
Can't wait to try this, I spend an absolute fortune on frizz serum.0 -
I've just tried washing my hair with conditioner for the first time, I used Asda's Smartprice. Put some in the hair, left it for a while, then rinsed it out, added a bit more then rinsed it straightaway, the second application was an afterthought, maybe should have used first application like shampoo and rinsed out straight away
anyhoo, my hair has turned out just as good as it usually does.I usually use pantene ice shine, normally buy it when its on promotion, but I'll be using the cheapy stuff from now on. A word of advice though, comb the conditioner through while your in the shower, this makes it easier to comb the hair before drying, I forgot to take my comb into the shower this morning, and my hair was very tatty when I got out, it isnt usually when I've used the pantene, but for me, this has been the only difference I've noticed with using smartprice conditioner. My daughter has curly hair, and I'll suggest she tries this over the weekend to see how it works for her. We got the smartprice conditioner last week after a friend recommended it for dd as she likes to straighten it occasionally.

Here's a couple of good articles on conditioner only washing:
Washing your hair with conditioner?
Conditioner Only Washes
Now, those two articles recommend American brands of conditioners, as they are written by Americans (probably). The conditioners I have found most useful for conditioner only washing are:
Superdrug Just Conditioner
Sainsburys Basics
Tesco Apple and Aloe Vera
Tesco Jojoba
Basically, the ones that are best are the really, really cheap own brand ones.
You do have to use loads of conditioner, but at least you're using the cheap ones!
Anyway, this method is not for everyone, but it's worked wonders for my straight, bleached hair.0 -
