I would just be using it for groceries for me / my OH / my cat and I dont mind stocking up if it;s a bargin.
Thanks
I don't like the idea of becoming a member to any supermarket either, especially if the membership fee is too expensive.0 -
Costco, is the largest membership warehouse club chain in the United States. It's a pride working for them. I given a chance I would for sure do it. I suggest you do the same.0

What are you going on about? Who is working or thinking about working for them?0 -
I don't like the idea too of becoming a member to any supermarket, especially if the membership fee is too expensive.
If you have a loyalty card, you are in effect a 'member' of that supermarket, and you pay for it with higher prices so the supermarket can make its ott profit.
Places like Costco are just a little more honest about it.Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
I would certainly recommend it. Yes, you have to pay for a yearly membership (approx £25 + vat), but if you tend to shop a lot at Sainsbury's/Tesco etc for household products (toilet rolls/washing & cleaning 'stuff'), it's certainly worth it (for most products). You'll find the quantities are much bigger, and therefore, more value for money. They also sell some clothes (designer jeans like Diesel/Levi).
A word of caution though. Ensure you do your sums before you buy, as you have to add on vat on most products.0 -
Also a big saving if you need to replace car tyres. we always have our tyres changed at Costco. Much cheaper than any of our local garages. I think they only stock Michelin though.0

But they have both the with and without vat price on all the labels, so you don't have to work anything out. If there isn't a 'with vat' price on the label, it's because you don't have to pay Vat for that item (eg books).Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
I was there yesterday, best deal I saw was 10 tins of John West Tuna for about £5. In some supermarkets you're talking about that price for 4. I also spotted 12 packs of J20 for £6 which are up around £9/10 in the supermarkets as well.
Some stuff doesnt work out brilliantly and you would need to go through a hell of a lot of certain things before it became worthwhile buyin them there instead of the local supermarket.
I dont know exactly how well it works out, but the fuel additive stuff for cars seemed very good value. 4 large bottles for around £15 I think I saw, bearing in mind some places sell the little ones for about £4 each I think that is pretty descent as well0 -
Tv's are good buys, 90 day return to store for any reason (even if you do not like it!) and 5 year extended warranty included in price!TB0
