'Interesting' thread on the CC board at the moment http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...html?t=2339755 sometimes the not juding people ethos has to be put aside in my opinionA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hmmmm.... "interesting" just about sums it up Tixy - some people make it very difficult to not judge them (that's very bad English but I'm sure you know what I mean).
I had this one in mind, looks like it may head in the same direction as one from last week - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=30900787#post30900787The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Solventsoon, which thread from last week are you referring too?
I can't believe what I read on that thread on the CC board Tixy, some people! It's so difficult not to judge at times, some people have no morals.
Btw, I have done the 1/2 hour ironing, mission accomplished. Better go and chop the courgettes for the soup, potato and courgette tonight with homemade bread. I think we will brie and some cranberry chutney as a side dish, it really doesn't go with soup, but what the heck.
My friend gave me some bottled homemade slow gin last night, I've just tried it. Is it mean't to taste like cough medicine with alcohol in it?0 -

errrr ... yes, it is actually, washer, but you don't notice the cough medicine taste after a couple of glasses...:rotfl::rotfl:
It was a thread posted by a user called enabler - about not being able to afford his wife any longer - the posts got a bit pointed, shall I say. It seems to have been forgotten now, thank goodness, but I have a feeling that this new one has the potential to get about as bad.
Well done on getting the half hour of ironing done, btw, I've successfully managed to avoid doing most of the things I was going to do today, including most of the work.... which means I'm now going to have one of those days tomorrowThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi gang
I arrived home last night - I got delayed in the airport by half an hour:mad: I had a fabby time and only had dinner in the hotel on 3 nights so it was a waste going half board. I did have some fun - Wednesday night a whole gang of us (the grooms, both sets of parents, friends and employees) went out to a tapas bar for dinner, Friday I went on a boat trip from Puerto Rico for 2 hours dolphin watching - saw a pod of 30 dolphins with calves (got sunburnt:eek:) then it was off to the market in Mogan where my haggling skills came to the fore - handmade lace table cloth picked up for 20E, 2 amethyst necklaces 8E each, 1 bamboo handbag 10E, 1 croaking frog 2E, 2 sand paintings 11E each. Had to get a cab to the wedding - cost me 4E (all cabs in Playa del Ingles have to charge 4E however long the journey) - wedding was fab - it was hot although it was breezy and it was outdoors - it got nippy later but I borrowed one of the groom's jackets to wear. We had a singer and then Kitty Munroe came on with her drag act which was funny. Sunday night I was out again this time in the Yumbo Centre (a huge shopping centre that I have never been to before and yet I knew where the restaurant was without being told:eek:).
Arrived back in the UK at around 19.50 last night - got a cab home and then I discovered that his credit card machine wasnt working so I had to dash into the flat to pick up my debit card and scrape together some English money to give to the cabbie, then I ran across to the bank to draw money out (thankfully the cabbie didnt leave the meter running:D), I said that I was going to go to the shop for some milk so he told me to hop back into his cab and he would drive me there as he was going past the shop anyway on his way to the city centre - he didnt charge me although the meter said it was £9.11:cool:
Have spent today itching like mad as my sunburn is going brown.0 -
Quick BUMP from me - half way down page 2 again  .

Hi Horace, good to see you back and sounds like you had a fab time. And of course you got to use your haggling skills. One question though - what is a croaking frog?!
How did the networking side of things go?
