Hello to every-one else! I'm in high spirits today as I'm just off to put enough money in the bank to clear the MBNA card on my signature - just as the 0% is about to run out :j. And I have £27 in survey rewards (only checked one company) when I thought I only had a couple of pounds. :D

    :D:D:D:D

(And for any-one who has been keeping up with LisaWaters' thread - The One Show tonight, dodgy builder story!)

Yeah :j:j:j well done on the card:T:T:T:T:T:T

I've had 1 survey through since last Thursday:huh:

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes

    Afternoon all

Well done on clearing the card nicca :j. I'm finding that kitchen makeovers and debt clearing are not good bed buddies:(.
Kitchen update - 1 blind fitted yesterday (they had to be shortened and took ages) it looks good though, new sink bought, new cooker hood/extractor thing bought (the latter paid for by lovely mother), paint bought.
Just left to buy - flooring - really struggling to find what I want :(, kitchen worktop - again not seen anything I like (well not in my price budget!).

I think I need to sign up for more survey companies.

    Bump and back later

But I've been told what I want doesn't exist Numpty. But I'm certain it does - I've seen pictures of it.

To be fair I did mostly go to the big chains yesterday and I'm intending to go round all the local places at the weekend. If I can find what I want I'm quite good at [STRIKE]flirting[/STRIKE] bartering for a good price :D.

    Hi all
Well done on clearing the card, nicca :j. Definitely need a more strongly worded memo, and we do not want any more snow - please make that plain;). Thanks for the update on lisa's thread, will watch that tonight - I've been following his thread for a while, keep meaning to post, but you know how things are ......
Thanks for the kitchen update, Tixy, all sounding good. Pain about the floor and worktops, though, hope you find what you're looking for.
    3Dogs - have fun ebaying;)

Red & White, I can find lots of black and white either in sheeting or tiles but its the red that is causing the bother. Plus I'm now wondering if I should have gone for a different paint colour.
