What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

Hi skipping spoon!!
Hi all
Just starting to relax now, I have brought some work home but to be honest I'm not sure if I'll do a agood job if I work on it tonight.
Have had left over of quorn mince and stirfry with a slice of bread for my tea, quick and needs no thinking about.
Now though I can't help thinking of a funsize pack of maltesers I know are lurking in the cupboard.
But I think Horace has transmitted her germs via computer as I have a rotten sore throat that I think could develop into something unpleasent. I'm dosing myself up with vitamins and such to try to ward it off.
Have a good evening all.The problem with paddington is he doesn't move around much, so I can't find a moving avi or a moving animation to turn into an avi.
Huh tixy jealous.
Hope you're not coming down with H's lurgy and good luck with getting all the work finished.Did you go for the maltesers - I would have:D
Just back from 3D Alice with my £1 cinema ticket courtesy of Martin the other week. Think I'll read Alice again now (it's alright, I've still got my childhood copyI don't need to buy a book! And I can read In the Looking Glass after too).
Horace, I agree the money should be used for the original cause unless all members were present to dicuss and vote for a change (or were aware that a discussion might be happening) and the reasond behind that change were noted.
Spoon, love the new avi
Thanks - thought I'd try skipping for a change - my tail was getting a bit tired:rotfl::rotfl:The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

I know! I was in a well-known book-shop for ages today... decided buying coffee and using it as a library was the way to go! (And had to avoid the fiction section too!) I almost bought a book, but then thought about Pickle and reluctantly put it back on the shelf (though I waited until the person looking at that bit of the shelf had moved away as I didn't want her buying the only copy :rotfl:.
