Nope, she arrives at my parent's on Thursday. Digger is not going to be happy! (I won't be either, my parents stay a two hour drive away so I won't see her for a while, but have left strict instructions for photo updates )

This dog is Tara, the mad German Shepard, who is really a big scaredy cat and barks at any other dog she sees. And I have to keep her on a tight lead or she'd be off after them and the millions of foxes that live around her way. Luckily I am a doggy person so she realise I'm the boss. Some of the other carer's are taken a [STRIKE]walk[/STRIKE] run by Tara!

I have a second job as a carer for a guy with a physical disability so I have weekend sleepovers at his every other weekend where I get to take Tara for a walk, watch rubbish TV and sleep. He's only ever needed night-time assistance once in the time I've worked there and that was due to horrible side effects of a new medication. As second jobs go, it's a very good and relaxed one to have. And gets me my doggy fix too .

Glad to hear most had good weekends in the sun. I used to be quite good at equations but yesterday seemed to forget what
hot sun + white skin - sunscreen equalled

Anyway today I have been more sensible and slightly more productive and have filled the bin with garden weeds and dead foliage, shame I'd have needed 6bins for it to have made a noticeable difference

I was very suprised at Ashes to Ashes Nargle, apparently on some forums (geek forums?) people had already guessed that they were all dead so glad I hadn't read that before.
I did read an article from the author that said right from the first episode of life on mars it was always going to have that outcome. It almost makes me want to watch it all back to see all the clues I missed along the way (apparently its been obvious jim was the devil all series?!) I must not be up on my religious imagery.

Ssh don't mention all the eye rolling in my post anyone. MSE might remove them

Anyway, off to try and get some sleep in ridiculously hot house, wishing I had cavity wall insulation to keep the heat out and the house cool, but sadly don't have cavity walls in a property of this age.

BL - don't envy you being in central London in a flat in this heat - must be a nightmare

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
