Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one of the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering

    Hi Everyone :hello:

Sorry haven't been around but been out in the scorching sun trying to catch some rays, as I don't have a garden living on 8th floor, I have to travel a bit for a decent park and found an oasis right in the centre of London that I didn't know existed and I've lived here all my life. It's all very well going to the Royal parks (Hyde Park, St James' etc) but they get VERY BUSY!!! Anyhows had a lovely time with my grand-daughter, daughter and a few friends but I'm afraid today we've all had a bit too much of the vino and I'm just about ready to drop. I'm dreading tomorrow morning as I'll probably have a mouth like the bottom of a parrots cage:eek:

A just got back from a hilarious Peter Kay Gig Bump!

Hi Marley - Glad you enjoyed the gig, hope little one is doing well:A
Good morning all, 34 degrees in my back garden, and I'm in the Arctic wastes of the North so gawd knows what it's going to be like round London way!

Hi Nargle - It has been an absolute scorcher in London. To be honest I don't like it this hot as there's nothing you can do, all windows and doors are open and there is not a whisper of a breeze and it is very humid. OMG I think the June bugs are out (a bit early) - lock down the hatches:eek:

Hope you have all had a great weekend in the sunshine.

Hey there, gosh I've a lot of catching up to do...

Today I felt very lazy as I drove one of my friend's to her start point in the Edinburgh relay marathon. The actual marathon was running (literally) along side it... the first marathon runner hit the 1st relay point (8.1 miles) in 31 minutes!

I on the other hand, was just faffing about in the sun, waving off friend number 2 as friend number 1 was coming in... whom I promptly lost and didn't find for the the next hour and a half - after friend number 2 had finished her leg. A very complicated way to run a marathon!

I shall avoid such complications by simply refusing to run in one ever!

Off to catch up on Fred's weekend :D
