Sorry to hear that marley :(. Although I guess the good side is that they have diagnosed it. Hope that things improve soon, and in time for your holiday. (Hope its not to Scotland if you want sun!

I do hope that we will have warm weather and sun soon, surely by mid June its not unreasonable of us all to not want ground frosts overnight!

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Hello and welcome to all with good intentions. Trolls and spammers are not welcome on DFW. To any newcomers, please have a quick read of the message above. Please do not be put off by the trolls, if you need help there are plenty of people who will offer advice and support.

And if you are bored, feel welcome to BUMP this thread back to the top. :)

The above will apparently only exist for 3hours. I could save and upload it but I'm not going to, so you either see it in the next 3hours or its red x's again (its a bit like cinderella's pumpkin in that respect:D)

Marleyboy - big hugs for you and your family. Hope baba grows out of the fits as he gets older. Take care.

And don't worry if your holiday is in Scotland, it's been gorgeous here today. I had to take of my jacket and cardi when I went for a walk at lunch-time. Niddy would have had to strip off! (Can't vouch for 4 weeks time mind you!)

Have fun at Peter Kay. A good laugh will do you the world of good!

Its Manchester MEN I am going to, So Mr "Together Forever" is gonna show his face huh?

Thanx everyone for the moral support re ba-ba, he was only 1lb 6 when born (premature) so this is mild compared to the rest of his fighting spirit. BBC have made a documentary about him due out end Jun. So you can imagine the hospital giving him that extra bit of attention (as they still do), particularly when he is being followed with a camera crew ;) - He has his private room with Mummy n a tv\dvd player thrown in, so its not all doom n-gloom ;)

When I was on detachment to a Squadron Of RAF Cadets.(ages 13 to 21)
My Warrant Officer (Sergeant Major) was a great Joker. Big Man, Big Hearted, Big on discipline but a great sense of humour.
When we were setting up a rope bridge over a river the youngsters were upset that they weren’t going to get wet. So Dave lined them up as thought they were going to march away. Then ordered about turn and to a Man and Girl they all marched straight of the bank and continued untill there were just the tops of there berets showing.
It wasn’t cruel or dangerous safety was paramount.
On another occasion when preparing for a Drill competition Dave showed them the video of Monty Pythons Army Drill (you will find loads of clips on U Tube.
Well Dave thought that if the Drill team learned the Monty Python routine in between learning the drill movements this would break up the monotony of Left Turn, Quick March, About Turn, Right Wheel Etc.
A few months later we were on a Squadron Visit to Stafford. Another Cadet Squadron was with us. On the way to the venue, their C.O. who was a Primary School Headmistress in real life ordered them to form 3 ranks and hold hands while crossing the road. (I think she thought she was back in her Civy job).
Well you can imagine the embarrassment. When they were safely across the road, Dave said to me can I take over sir, there was a twinkle in his eye.
In his best Sergeant Majors voice, Dave gave the following orders.
XYZ Squadron, Fall in in three ranks, By the left quick Mince.
To a man and Girl all twenty of my cadets, Right hand on hip, Left hand at shoulder height, Wrist held limp. Smartly minced across the road chanting, OOO Big Boy, Scratch your Eyes Out, Hit you with my Hand Bag.
The other Squadron and Staff fell about laughing. The only one not impressed was their C.O.
Needless to say I was carpeted by the Wing co. You really shouldn’t muck about Handy he said, Still your lot have great moral and C.O. of XYZ Squadron really should get a grip.
Story of my life, Always in the !!!!!! its just the depth that Varies.

    Best wishes to all, handyman123.

LOL, that's where my mate went last weekend - yea, Never Gonna Give You Up will be there in full glory - apparently he got all the men up singing and dancing, at each event! Weird, but we all know he can sing so no real surprise....

Well done on BBC - do you get paid lol - sorry got to ask these things, you could have got it commissioned and been paid! Always the MSE'r Niddy :o:o

Hi Marleyboy, sorry to hear about the wee one. Dont worry infantile epilepsy can be caused by many things. Its frightening I Know. It can be caused by many things happen once and never happen again. or it can be ongoing and clear up in adolescance. There are many good new treatments available. The British Epilepsy Association is a good source of help and advice.

Keep us posted to how the little one gets on.

My regards and best wishes to you and yours, handyman123.
