Me tooooo - so when I eventually go to bed and get up, i'll be hoping to dive to the local and get stripped off for the beer garden - luvverly jubberly :eek: :eek: :eek:

Borassic, I'm feeling so much better today that I have to concede that the "cold" was probably allergies from gutting my flat. Soooooo much dust!

But this work malarkey doesn't have get in the way of my MSE time!

Good evening all, handyman here at Hooray Hall.
Well its been a bad day, Lady Hoorays humour hasnt improved. I think when she got up this morning she must have looked in the mirror and saw her !!!. I was ordered to weed the bed by the drive entrance, ok I said but I have some emergency plumbing to do in my cottage first. (a problem with a noisey ball !!!! and the hot water tank). So it was off to the plumbers merchants, then take the bin bags all 15 of them in my car to the top of the lane. (we dont get a normal collection in the country).
Fix the water supply. then on to the weeding. I had to cut some of the clematis hedge back to get to the border ( 8 feet high 70 feet long).
As lady H drove past I got a rollocking for pruning the clematis. Its still flowering she said. It stoped flowering a monthy ago only she hasnt noticed yet.

Later I had to plant some flox under a climbing rose, I hope you havnt damaged the roots she said. It says in the times gardening supplement you shouldnt damage the roots. Well said I thats whre you wanted them.

Lady H then went out for the afternoon, when she got back she said I suppose it took you all morning to do your plumbing.

I thought about it for a second or two, then went through the list of jobs completed. Bin Bags, Plumbing, Weeding, Watering, Planting.

Lady H, I said where I come from, If you ask someone if it took all morning thats a diplomatic way of asking if they have been skiving.
I can assure you that that is a long way from the truth.

Her Jaw dropped, she isnt used to being answered back, so tommorow is likely to be fun. If it wasnt for the fact the cottage comes with the job, I think a parting of the ways would not be far off.

Still I will be back in a short while with a funny story.

Its been an exhausting day for me today, little baba just been confirmed with infant epilepsy (on top of everything else) had to leave him at hospital with his Mummy for a few days .

However (thinking positively) I am looking forward to Peter Kay gig on Sat, and our first family holiday together is in 4 weeks, so I pray the Sunshine stretches over to it.:)
