What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering on page 2 or 'horror of horrors' page 3 :rotfl:

Hi nicca - can't get my head around being able to talk to someone through a laptop, no idea how it works but it's great:D.
Are you starting back at work this week?

Yup, back tomorrow. Mostly worried about being able to get up and out of the house in time to get there before thebuilding closes at night ;).

And am guessing tomorrow I will mostly be on the phone to IT trying to get into my computer, deleting a squllion out of date emails if I actually manage to get onto computer tomorrow!, drinking copious amounts of tea and repeating myself to every-one I see.

I am hoping to manage to sneak on here at some point but I might have to wait until home-time .

Looking forward to getting back into a proper routine though (less so the actual work aspect ;)).

We have had to speak to Niddy about his attitude and behaviour before Mrs Niddy - we once banished him to behind the sofa for a few days scared0016.gif but we must admit (when he is not here) that we think he is super really - very caring if very mischievious evilgrin0007.gif

Mmmmm, yummy scrummy! Is it just the same recipe as banana bread but with raisins? I might have to try that :D
    .

    Evening everyone,

Hope you've all had a good day -

Hi Spoon - Thanks for the kind wishes and yes the banana and raisin bread is too yummy for my own good:o

Hi Nicca - True about housework, I try to put it off as long as I can, there's always tomorrow!

Have you got a bread machine? The recipe I use is from the booklet that came with mine. It's supposed to be banana and walnut bread but I substitute the nuts for raisins and they go all juicy when it's cooked! There's not much of it left now though  If you want recipe let me know.

Hope you get on OK at work tomorrow.
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Good evening all, Handyman here with news at 9.00 from Hooray Hall.

The preperations for Lady Hoorays siore go well. All 5 acres of lawn mown today for the second time in 5 days. Lady Hooray wanted to know why? I had not swept the top terrace last night. I explained that after sweeping the courtyard and drive it was 9.30 when I finished. I put the outside lights on for you she said. I want it sweeping today because there is bird !!!!!! on the flagstones. Well thats what you get when you live in the countryside, besides the birds have to do it somewhere. (not impressed) a quick tug of the forelock and I was off to cut some more grass. ( not the type your thinking of - Niddy).:rotfl:

I have only been called up to the big house twice this evening, to change the channell on the television. (True scouts honour). His Lordship has forgotten how to and her Ladyship never learned.

When I asked who the guests were coming to the lunch, The usuall hangers on and Marco Von Trapp (an ex boyfriend of Lady H) Lord Hooray muttered something about him being an Austrian Count. (mind you thats what it sounded like) I dont think his Lordship likes him to much.

Anyhow Spam Busters and Troll Zappers, I'm off for a prowl about the forums to see if anyone needs a handy hint or 3, or just some good old fashioned support.

    Best wishes handyman123.
