What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering on page 2 or 'horror of horrors' page 3 :rotfl:

Sorry missed the first post of the page

Hi BL - we had a good night on here last night - it was fun - and it kept Fred up on the top of the page all evening :D

Hi 3Dogs - I saw the start of all the fun but couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. At least Fred behaved himself all evening:D

Thanks Tixy, I'm sure I will feel better soon.

I'm just going to make some banana and raisin bread, well more like a cake really, in the bread machine so no actual work involved. My grand-daughter loves it, mind you it is quite yummy:)

Glad to see you're feeling OK Nid and thanks for the entertainment last night:)

    And Mrs Nid too!!

Banana & Raisin bread/cake sounds scrumptious - but none for me as I put a pound on this week  - think it was the upset to our routine with staying up all night for the election results - well that is what I am blaming anyway ;) (mind you it didn't upset hubbie's routine - he lost half a pound )

Hi BL, sorry you're feeling a bit under the weather and hope you feel better soon.

The banana and raisin bread sounds yummy:D

Re diets - typical man to be able to lose weight without trying - different metabolisms or something but it's really unfair:(:(

Oh dear 3Dogs - sorry about the extra pound - staying up all night was definitely the cause of that..

    Bored, can't focus on work.

I agree spoon - typical men losing weight so easy. Off to the gym tonight (prior to thursday weigh).

Good thing I haven't any chocolate in my desk else I would be eating it.:)
