Another oddity - on new format we are still on the same page, despite it being 2121 (or 2122 with this one) - need to work out how many to apage so we can get the message at the top.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

I still like the new style forum - fresh, bright and easy to the eye.

Forgot to mention, during my all night stint watching the election results coming in, I was also flicking around the forums and managed to Zap a Spammer all by myself on one of the Foody threads - made my night did that- that and pobbibly getting rid of Brown (sorry - just don't like that guy - hate what he does with his mouth all the time and I don't mean talking - I know that's no reason really but I hate what he does to the country too)

Just had some melon, strawberries and mull*r light yoghurt ice cream - mMMmmm -hubbie just gone to bed but I am wide awake now (liar :D) sowill stay up a bit longer and see how I go

Evening all, have just watched Have I Got News and Ashes to Ashes, a double treat for Friday Night.

3Dogs - curses! Found out at last! Seriously though, Flower Pot used to be quite a nice pub. Obviously there is a sinister plot to wipe out Wisbech totally from the face of the Earth, I assume the police are doing something to solve the mystery? Or am I just having a conspiracy theory moment?

    Hi Nicca and all,

Can't get the hang of this quote thing, how do you all get yours to be in a nice little box? What am I doing wrong? :o

I would love to visit Scotland, isn't it funny, when we go on holiday (wishful thinking) we go off all over the world but don't visit the many beautiful places within GB, I know the weather is a bit of a let down but maybe one day I will get to see our own country and all that it has to offer. I think when you live in a city you just want to get as far away as possible.

Glad to hear some of you have caught up on your sleep after last night, I'll be turning in soon as Grand-daughter will be awake early in the morning, she always seems to wake up earlier when she stays here :( but I love it as she is gorgeous even though my eyes are only half open for the first hour or so!

    Happy trollzapping!!
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

    Hi Borassic,

When you cut down the quote you need to make sure you leave the
bit at the start and the [/QUOT E] bit at the end. Thats what puts it in a box.

Also just finished Have I got news and ashes to ashes nargle, its getting interesting as it nears the end isn't it! Do you think he was Sam? must make sure I don't miss the last 2 episodes.:)

Nargle - whilst you are about if you are in thinking mode can you add/help out this post at all? I'm not knowledgeable enough to help and am worried about whether I have said the right things and know that that sub-board can be quiet - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2453887

Hi BL - after you click the quote button, you need to delete any bits you don't want, making sure that you leave the QUOTE bit at the start AND end of the quote INCLUDING brackets - you seem to have deleted the end quote

    Hope this helps

    Cheers - 3Dogs

3Dogs - I thought I was the only one who noticed that thing Gordon Brown does with his mouth. I don't take much notice of what he says because I'm too busy watching his mouth!!!
