What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

ooh just seen on this site that Dwell has 20% off. I want a dwell table, well I wanted an old 60s one but cannot find one suitable so have switched to wanting a dwell one. Have been looking out for a second hand one on ebay but am now thinking maybe with 20% off I could go for new. Decisions decisions.

Sapper I said after my time in the Royal Engineers, (before joining the RAF).
Why dont you call him !!!!!! old chap, after Guy Gibson V.C.'s labrodor (dam busters).
Not a chance Sir I replied you know where I live, can you imagine how long I would last in the park at night calling for him to come back.
So Sapper it was, he is such a good engineer that when I shout at him he makes a bolt for the door.

This story is for Spoon and Nargle, just so that you dont think I'm just a dog lover. At one time I rescued 3 kittens from work (mother had died from x ray radiation) but kittens were perfect. I had 3 kittens 2 labs + 1 litter of 8 pups. I was buying litter in bulk, proprably the first time I maxed out a card to pay for it all.
My present Moggy Shadow was a kitten when we moved here, she has a tip of her ear missing as a result of a fight and she was 3rd generation wild. When she was a year old she had her first litter in the Owl box in the thatched barn, I first noticed her carrying half a rabbit on to the roof then junping fron the window 15ft up to the rafters and into the box.
I eventually caught and homed the 6 kittens, the cats protection lent me a fox trap and after catching her we got her to the local vet, who removed the working parts F.O.C. A few weeks later she started coming round to our cottage for feeding. A year and a half later she is totally tame, though occasionaly banned from the house for beating up the dogs.
She is best mates with our young border terrier, and we call her shadow because when I am working in the garden (all 8 acres - not mine) she is never more than a few feet away. At the moment she is on the rug in front of the woodburner belly full and as at peace with the world as only a cat can be.
