Good money-saving thinking there Numpty. Does not sound like fun handyman.

Did you have an okay journey back home? Didn't get flooded off the roads? and no floods/drips in the kitchen when you got back? As ever, well done of the free money, I bet its hard for you to imagine how you would manage without your extra earnings at the moment. No sign of work at the moment? nobody starting to re-employ again in your previous type of work? or have you decided you want to do something different anyway now?

Hi Tixy, no not a lot of fun, but I save a lot of money by doing my own repairs and maintainance on the car. I'm of an age when If you had a car you fixed it yourself when it went wrong, normally with parts from a scrapyard. I learned how to do it from watching over my fathers shoulder. Thats why I tell people that I'm a Genetic Engineer.

Mindyou most cars are that complicated these days you need the right programe and software to fix them, in that way I am lucky with our local garage, £25.00 p/h and If the owner thinks the repair has taken to long he gives a discount. Recently he did a job for me and the parts were £50.00 more than he had estimated so he fitted them for £25.00 It took 3 hours. Its not a back street garage its quite a large outfit but he's allways busy because he's fair.

By the way my Motor is a Rolls Canardly (Rolls down hills Canardly get up them)

    Best wishes, handyman123.

That's how my photo's end up too Handyman :D.

It looks like all systems are go for Black Lab puppy... there's a litter local to the area, all females spoken for but the boys are left behind (isn't that always the way...), mum is a gentle lump called Toto and puppies are only 4 weeks old so folks can't pick pup up until end of May... in the meantime it's all hands on deck with puppy names... big [step] brother's name is Digger...

    :D :j:j:j

This story is for Spoon and Nargle, just so that you dont think I'm just a dog lover. At one time I rescued 3 kittens from work (mother had died from x ray radiation) but kittens were perfect. I had 3 kittens 2 labs + 1 litter of 8 pups. I was buying litter in bulk, proprably the first time I maxed out a card to pay for it all.

My present Moggy Shadow was a kitten when we moved here, she has a tip of her ear missing as a result of a fight and she was 3rd generation wild. When she was a year old she had her first litter in the Owl box in the thatched barn, I first noticed her carrying half a rabbit on to the roof then junping fron the window 15ft up to the rafters and into the box.

I eventually caught and homed the 6 kittens, the cats protection lent me a fox trap and after catching her we got her to the local vet, who removed the working parts F.O.C. A few weeks later she started coming round to our cottage for feeding. A year and a half later she is totally tame, though occasionaly banned from the house for beating up the dogs.

She is best mates with our young border terrier, and we call her shadow because when I am working in the garden (all 8 acres - not mine) she is never more than a few feet away. At the moment she is on the rug in front of the woodburner belly full and as at peace with the world as only a cat can be.

    Best wishes handyman123.

Ahhh, handyman, what a lovely story, thanks... great that she found a loving home finally...:A

I think they've settled on Lexi if they can get the female and Cooper if it's the male (some-one indecisive has first dibs). Managed to veto Opo (?) by mentioning it was an anagram of Poo, and I was sure there's be enough of that from a puppy without them adding to it further!

Here's hoping pregnant friend doesn't turn around and tell me they're going to name bambino either of those names :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
