What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

If you find this thread has dropped off page 1 then please do join in and 'bump' us back to the top. :D

Stellar work on the bumping 3dogs! And v. impressed with you in your NSD challenge! And I need to say thank you to you and Spoon for encouraging me to finally take the plunge and sign up to it formally! It's a great thread - almost as fun as this one ;).

Mum just texted me to ask what I'd think of them getting a new puppy. A female one (assuming the forum won't let me post the correct term) this time as Digger is a grumpy old dog and only likes female dogs!

I asked if they'd get a chocolate lab this time, I do like chocolate labs! (Cue piccie from you Handyman ;)). Before I asked if she could cope with poo all over her new kitchen floor :D.

Ooooh, maybe a new pup to play with! :j

You are doing well too (after being press-ganged into it) 9/10 I see - very good. It is easier for me as neither me nor DH work so stay in - it it easy to not spend in the house!!! Mind you, when DH was working I did manage to spend in the house - lots of QVC, Ideal World, etc - glad that is behind us

NEW PUPPY NEW PUPPY - I remember the first time I had to have a dog of mine put down - I lasted 2 days and had another dog - I can't imagine the house without at least one dog - mind you 3 is too much sometimes :D
I never understood why my Dad would not let us have any more dogs - he was the one who had to take them to the vets to be put down when ill/old, and it upset him of course.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the new PUPPY :j :j

Hi niccatw, I'm confused I didnt send you any piccys of choclate lab:(
I can send you plenty though if you like.

Chocy labs are different from Black and Yellow labrodors. A Black Lab will do his best to allways please you. My Black Lab ( My chocys son will knock down a stone wall and look at you as if to say did I do that). A yellow lab (my chockys wife will leep the wall and say I'm hyperactive). A choclate lab will walk up and down the wall, wait untill the find a gate and then wait for you to open it for them. They will look at you and then say I'm too intelligent to Jump, Go thu, or to train.

Beware luvly as they are a choclate lab is not to be confused with any other type of lab, they are truly unique and not to be taken lightly.

Having said that, My old brown boy is lying at my feet as I write this (Snoring and Farting) and I would'nt be without him.

Best wishes to all, It's good to be back, handyman123.:j

Hi Handyman - we have had 6 tractors doing the fields behind us since Sunday - they just packed up for the night about an hour ago - they are tilling/ploughing/fertilising - guess which 2 we don't mind and which one stinks :D that's the joy of living in a likkle village surrounded by fields - last year the fields were wheat and they harvested 24 hours a day with the tractors coming within 20 yards of our bungalow ................. I am not complaining, coming from the very built up North East, we think it is great :j :j

You need at least 2 dogs they are company for one another, 3 dogs are better as you allways have a youngster working its way up. I allways had Labs, but a few years ago we got a rescue border terrier to keep my 3 labs in check. I'm now down to 2 borders an a lab due to tied accomodation. The labs are still in the family and when they all get together! look out. A vet once told my if you have 2 dogs (1 of each) you will never have a problem. If you have more than 2 you have a pack. I dont believe it because I sometimes end up looking after 5 or more and they get on great.

If niccatw gets her new lab can we all take turns in suggesting names?

    Best wishes handyman123.
