Think you're right there, Tixy, poor little volcano has been blamed for most other ills in the world recently....

Just noticed - we seem to have a "remove your thanks" box now - when did that appear?

It just appeared today Spoon - part of the new upgrade?? Presumably you can now remove 'thanks' given if you no longer like the poster (!!!;)!!!) or have 'thanked' by mistake (spammer or Troll) - good idea I think but I don't think they needed it in a big box - it could have been put in one line!! This will make posts longer which will mean new page comes sooner and we need to put Pania's message up sooner - I think. I assume it is the length that sets the new page and not number of posts. If it is posts, this will not matter and I am just rambling ................. oh I'm getting tired :)

Edit: just checked and it is the number of posts on a page that matters so ignore that last bit - I was just rambling. Mind you this means size does not matter ....................

Hi 3Dogs.... I think you might need to go to bed...... you're sounding a bit confused..

How did your slimming club go this evening - or shouldn't I ask today?

Thanks for the note about the thanks box - it's a bit big - and a bit near the page numbers as well, can see I'm going to get a bit confused. Maybe we should set up a corner for those of us easily confused (I'm rambling now as well:o).

Hi spoon - yes you can ask 'cause I lost 2 1/2 lbs this week after two weeks of small gains so I am at my lowest weight for ages and ages with a weight loss of 3 stone 11 lbs

And yes - I am rambling - I have just posted on another thread and it got longer and longer as I rambled on ................. oooopps ....... it is obviously 'that' time of night

"Maybe we should set up a corner for those of us easily confused" I thought that was what this thread was???? ;);)

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

If you find this thread has dropped off page 1 then please do join in and 'bump' us back to the top. :D
