o2 returns nightmare, any advice for dealing with LBM?
6 week old Sony W810i died on me, I phoned o2 and got return authorisation number and an email giving return postage address, o2 order was issued for the replacement, sent dud handset recorded delivery 8/7/06, delivered to LBM on 10/7/06.
On Sunday 9/7/06 i get an email from o2 with a Parceline tracking number and when I look it up it says my new phone is on a "swap delivery" instead of a normal letterbox drop. This means when the courier arrives I won't get my phone because I don't have the old handset to give him; I posted it already like o2 told me.
I phone LBM on Tuesday 11/07/06 and am told the employee who processed the order did it wrong and that replacement for that order will be issued immediately.
I have been phoning LBM every other day from then till now and have got no response as to when or whether a replacement phone will be sent to me (PS the courier did show up and I had to send him away)
Every time I call I am told it has been "escalated" and calls to o2 just push me back to LBM.
How long do they have to withhold supply of a hndset before the contract I entered into is rendered null and void? What is my legal status?
At wit's end with these imbeciles; I have done everything they have asked to the letter but it's their original mistake and complete inability to make it good that has me out of pocket.
