There aren't any home broadband and free laptop deals, but you can get them with mobile broadband.
You'll struggle to get a laptop for £20/mth though... even most of the netbooks are priced at £25/mth. The cheapest is £17.50 which is a dell mini on 3.
You can get a Compaq CQ61 for £30/mth.
There's a full list and some photos on here http://www.chooseisp.co.uk/.../mobile-broadband/free-laptop.asp0 -
have prices gone up that much?
i paid that for a HP and AOL connection 24 months ago.
don't really want mobile as it cost more0 -
I guess it's just because mobile broadband contracts are priced higher than home broadband ones.
I guess also because when the free laptop deals started with AOL they were a lot closer to 'free laptop deals' in the real sense of the word. I think they were probably started as loss-leaders to get new customers.
Whereas now they're much more like a way to spread the cost of buying one and don't really cost the providers anything to offer them.0
