I know she asked you to cover for her, but she shouldn't be letting you field all her creditors.
Its time to tell her to own up to her own debts. Say to her you are fed up with the situation and will be passing on her address if she doesn't sort it out herself.
I know that blood is thicker than water, but enough is enough. She's taking you fo a ride along with her creditors.
You are obviously exasperated with the situation, it will make you ill if you continue to help her dodge her responsibilities.

OP, do let us know how you get on. Imho, the help you asked for had nothing to do with your sister and your relationship/ decisions. The debt company are chasing YOU (not your sister) for a debt that isn't yours - end of.
The matter at hand is that they have no right to do this. And you have every right to demand they stop hassling you or take it to the ombudsman and ask for compensation.
Do come back and let us know how you're doing.

Yeah I think compensation is a bit extreme, given the circumstances and also that she will just be taking messages and due to data protection shouldn't know anything about it.

Ever heard of cause & effect?

Irrelevant here for me, I don't want to judge the OP and have them not come back to the thread - I've given advice based on the question and I hope it helps. She is being chased for a debt in her name from what I know. That is factually wrong and the debt company can't chase her for something she didn't take out.

I could pm the OP a string of expletives to use when these muppets call. If they don't want verbal abuse they won't phone. It is not the same as making an offensive call, but verbal abuse, insults and general outright rudeness is the only way to deal with these morons.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. Well, it's a matter of opinion. I do not expect to have my peace interrupted by some brain dead half wit harrassing me for money I do not owe. Therefore, call me, expect abuse. Don't like it? Get a real job and some self respect. Simples.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

You have choices
You could get your sister a free payg sim on the web (even better if you have a old mobile lying about) and give them the number for her (then she can choose to answer thye call, not you)
Keep taking the calls
or
Take control- have fun or get serious
I keep repeating 'hello' in various accents and speeds - have one keeping on for over a minute
Tell them the calls are recorded (get call recording thing like trucall if you want). I use my mobile which records calls.
Don't continue a conversation past stating you are not the person who they are looking for, and requiring them to repeat that back to you - this helps you prove things if you request a subject access request0
