Good afternoon, could I speak with the person responsible for buying your stationery please?

    <click ... brrrrr...> :rotfl:

I cannot believe how incredibly rude and ignorant you are. That is EXACTLY what a lot of successful stationery sellers say. Goes to show you know nothing about the field I work in.

I cannot believe how rude peopl have been. I asked for opinions on an idea. Fine, it's not workable. But why people think they can be so rude I have no idea.

That is really helpful thank you.
And do you mind me asking if you were paid per call, or commission or per hour etc?:D

In my case it was for charity so I was not paid, simply donated my time and claimed the phone calls as expenses.

That is not rude and ignorant, but reality I'm afraid.

I know that is what many cold calling sellers say because I get those type of calls everyday ... and that is usually the response I give them!!!
(and by a response from a previous poster, I don't seem to be alone)

Either that or I put the caller on hold having told them I'll try to transfer them to our stationery buyer. They've usually hung up before we get back to them ... 20-30 minutes later. :rotfl:

Im sorry if i have offended you, i did not mean to come across as rude, i was just trying to get my point across. You have obviously worked hard to make a very new business successful, and making plans to expand is a logical next step.

Having worked in sales in various setups, i have seen 1st hand just how many things can go wrong, and did not want you to make any of the common mistakes people make in this area.
    Regards

Thank you, very much appreciated :j
All I am trying to do is find financially viable routes to ensure the development/expansion of the business. All ideas welcomed!

How would you feel when you find out someone has been phoning up potential customers as a representative of your company, and telling everyone that doesn't buy anything to F!!&K OFF and D1E?

And they've kept the list of the ones who do buy and taken it to your competitor down the road, either for a new job or just a few quid in cash.
