T-Mobile £15 'Admin' charge when going from contract to PAYG

Just thought I'd let everyone know that if you ask T-Mobile to move you to PAYG at the end of your contract, they may levy a £15 'admin' charge for this. Turns out that it is isn't really an admin charge, but they instead put £15 credit on your account for you at your expense. However, they may not inform you about this (they didn't mention anything to me about it), in which case they will refund it and remove the credit from your PAYG phone if you call them and complain.

Personally I think it's a bit cheeky coz it's pay as YOU go, not pay as TMobile go.

    a tiny bit sneaky but you'd probably want a top up anyway

    Much more concerning is that they did it 2 days before the end of my months rental and refunded me £4 but then charged me a £25 early termination penalty !

    Better moving to 3 - no charge and get a free £10 top up
