  • I've come quite a long way (for me) since starting my diary. I get paid a week tomorrow but today I went and bought a new dress & shoes for a wedding I'm going to in May. It only came to £34 but normally it would have had to wait until I'd been paid because with a week to go I would have no spare money left :D

Put £20 of petrol in the car which should last me until I've been paid too. Tried not to think about how much it cost. How come no one's protesting about it?? Last time it was because it was getting near to £1 p/litre... that would be pretty good right now!!

I got most of my ironing done this morning, OH's pile is getting bigger but I'm still only going to do his work shirts. He'll realise he needs to do some when he runs out of t-shirts.

Cleaned the rabbits out before I went shopping, I bet when I go out to the shed later they'll have messed it all up again. Got the car washed when I got back, was nice to be in the sun, got to make the most of it before the rain comes back.

Still haven't updated the spending diary:o but I haven't bought too much so it should be fairly easy to do.

Back to work tomorrow so need to get everything ready so I can chill out tonight and not get up too early in the morning.

    Hey Moose!

I stared up at the diesel price the other day while OH was in oaying and couldn't believe it was £1.22!!! I am also suprised there hasn't been an uproar!

Well done on all your progress. I am so much happier now that we have sorted things. This month and last month i would have got to payday with out being desperate for money. Just waiting for my updated tax credits so i can do a SOA and work out what i should have left etc.

Carry on the good work :D

  • Good morning

    Thanks choc & Kel :)

Had a nice relaxed evening last night, caught up with a few bits that we've had recorded for a while to try and clear some memory on the sky box.

Not impressed with DVLA got my tax reminder through & the prices were the same as last time, but in red writing at the top it said it might be different to that. Just checked on their vehicle enquiry site and it's gone up to £112.75 or £205. I wanted to get a full year this time so the mot & tax were at seperate times, I'll have to see if I can afford it or not. When I picked my car up on Friday the bill wasn't ready & it needed an extra part :( So I might not have enough left over this month to cover that!?!

I've updated the spending diary this morning, hadn't done it since the 6th:o Must try harder :rotfl:

It looks like another lovely day, I don't want to be stuck in the office for 12 hours :(

Hope you all have a great day x

blue-bells - it wasn't something i thought of until found out it is how my mum saves for her car tax. This will suit me down to the ground as we can't dip into that money as it will just be saving stamps! :D

Hi Anonymoose, hope the office was ok today.

We used to do the car tax stamps and it worked out well. I think I might start them again as I prefer to do a years at a time, its normally about £20 cheaper on our old banger that way.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
  • Hi :)

yesterday wasn't too bad... until I knocked a full cup of hot choc over my desk including all the paperwork I was sorting :o

The savings stamps are a great idea :D Thanks:beer:
Managed to wangle a free meal out of work tonight, we have people visiting from another office and no one else was volunteering so me & another girl said we'd go :rotfl:

OH had a £2 on the side so I bought it off him, got 9 now :D

Hope everyone else has a great day x
