Hugs Sandy - sorry I missed the meet up but nobody told me about it!:( Hope you don't have too long to wait for your results and please ask for as much support as you want from here - you can tell we're all a bunch of [STRIKE]loons[/STRIKE] nice people.

I haven't been on for a couple of day with one thing and another and I haven't properly caught up yet but hugs to all because I know there's been a lot going on and I'll catch up properly in the morning.

Well done hun and thankyou for posting to let us know. We care about you. Sorry about the dog hair - but I guess it's marginally better than a whiff of BO ...

And I agree with the others. I think the staff would have been lovely anyway, regardless of your small seizure and anything they could or couldn't see on the scan (and they probably didn't look!)

I suspect you had the seizure through sheer fright and nerves but it was good you had it if it meant you were out of it when they did the scan. The short rest in the hospital bed would also have done you good even if you don't think it did.

Sending you a virtual glass of wine and helping you to stay strong xxxx

Don't worry I had plenty of dog hair of my own:o
Lack of sleep as well as stress are my biggest seizure triggers so I'm lucky it was a small one.

Im off to bed now got a really bad headache and am so tired
    night xx

The biggest problem I find is that I cant deal with anything, so to go into the doctors and talk about it all, and ask again to change is extremely daunting if it is on a bad day. This is the biggest problem I think, I spend all day worrying about the things that I cant deal with, and putting them off and then worrying more.
I know what you mean, hugs xx It was explained to me that all our brains are slightly different, the chemicals in our brains are different slightly. So AD's are all slightly different, and what suits one person won't suit another. Doctors try you on different ones until they find the one that fits your brain IYSWIM. So do keep going back until they find the one that will help you and fit in with your painkillers. You will find one that helps you to cope and it can make all the difference to how you feel

Hugs Sandy, just seen your post. You are so brave. Could you view each thing like a hurdle in a race? You've got over two so far, seen the neurologist and had the MRI. There is a bit more running round the track to the next one, the appointment to find out the results, but we are all here cheering you on and you will make it!

As for me, I'm meant to be going out tomorrow, so I've had a bath and washed my hair. THat way, if I wake up and feel up to going then I won't have any excuse not to go! Sometimes when I feel rough the whole effort ofgetting ready is so tiring mentally that I can't actually go out and do what I'm meant to be doing! So at least I can just get up and have breakfast fling some clothes on and go. I'm going to try, moping around at home won't do me any good. All I want to do is sleep at the moment!

  • Sandy - just popped in to check up on you. Well done for being so brave. xxxx

Hugs also for Rose and lilo and all those who are feeling low. Keep coming here for support (and the odd virtual glass of wine!). Rose - you have managed so much recently, and there are bound to be a few days when you don't make quite so much progress.

Finally - thanks to all who sent good luck vibes to my DD for her music exam (she thought the pieces went well, but struggled a little with bits of the aural - overall not too bad, though!). She also managed to get to the last 3/4 of an hour of the party, so that cheered her up a little!

All the best for the weekend. My last few days of being nn years old - I start a new decade on Monday 22nd, and am feeling a little thoughtful... :(

Sandy - well done on getting through it no matter how you got throught it!!
I'm sure they were being nice cos you're a lovely person who had a seizure whilst in their care - lots of positive vibes heading your way for good results

    Helen x
That was my first thought as well. They would naturally be concerned for you because of the seizure.
Glad to hear that you are home safely.
