Don't be too nice to me, If I cry anymore I may drown.
The nurse said I will get an appointment "at some point" The neuro put a rush on the results but they could still be up to 2 weeks. Not sure I can cope that longSealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
Just popping in to say hi (completely non-flying but it is the weekend!). Been working in Northern Ireland this week and although I had the internet the signal was so weak I couldn't get on to this site.
Started writing up my dissertation today and have broken the 1000 word mark! I have done a lot of research this week although still not enough. I am gradually getting there though (it needs to be sent off 8 weeks today )
It is OHs birthday today and we went out for dinner and embarrassed him by getting them to play happy birthday. There was a guy I work with in there and one of his kids from school, he was sinking in his seat so much :rotfl: I got him an Ipod which he loves, will make his lesson planning for school a lot easier with all his music in one place.
Anyway I will be away again next week so flying will have to wait. Will check in again soon.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Sandy...well done for being so brave today. I agree with everyone else...don't read into everyone's niceness. They are just being nice to a lovely patient that needed a bit of TLC after a seizure and an MRI. Keeping everything crossed for speedy and positive results for you. xxgratefulforhelp wrote: »
Greenbee condoms! You never know... and now take half the clothes out, you won't wear them!
Nah...she doesn't want those....she's all broody isn't she?!!;)
...have a lovely weekend though Greenbee. I really love Amsterdam. DH and i went there for a few days honeymoon, but I've been a couple of times. I really like the Anne Frank museum. Really brings it home to you what they had to endure. Enjoy yourself. x0 -

I'm sure they were being nice cos you're a lovely person who had a seizure whilst in their care - lots of positive vibes heading your way for good results

Sandy, same as Helen said. Hugs x
Hope Greenbee and Pigpen are having a good weekend. Everyone else have a good one too.
When is Toots back?

Glad it is all over Sandy, I hate MRI scans as I am claustrophobic, so I think you were very very brave. Unless the consultant was there, they will not have read the results at all, so I am sure they were just very nice caring people who wanted to look after you. I know it will feel a long wait until the results but with a party on here every night (did someone mention karaoke?) it will soon pass, and then the collective positive vibes of the flyladies can take you through it every step of the way...... you know we will be in every treatment room with you dont you - chicken poo, orange hair, BO et al .....
And thank you for all the positive messages of support, I actually feel a little better this evening, that is the nature of the beast, and I love the idea of the Black Dog. Half the problem is we dont seem to be able to sort out the ADs, I was first put on fluoxetine, which was working quite well, but in January I was diagnosed with nerve damage from my operation, which was causing the pain in my legs, together with the lymphodaema and they wanted me to take amltryplline which would cover this and the ADs, but I couldnt tolerate it at 10mg and I needed to up it to 90! So no go - have gone onto sertaline, which isnt working for me, and currently have no pain killers for the nerve pain. The biggest problem I find is that I cant deal with anything, so to go into the doctors and talk about it all, and ask again to change is extremely daunting if it is on a bad day. This is the biggest problem I think, I spend all day worrying about the things that I cant deal with, and putting them off and then worrying more. My poor husband is trying to do a fulltime job, look after me and my son, we are trying to keep up with his many outside school activities, we are decorating and so on ... So he trys to help but we arent getting very far.
Anyway - wayyyyyyy off thread, and many of you have far worse problems than I have.
Have a great time Greenbee, I hope you have remembered everything! So long as you have the basics, you can get by on most things
Soappie, I think you and the mystery toots have done a wonderful job of keeping the thread running while the real toots has been enjoying her hospital view!

Pah!!! That's it for me tonight. Been trying to beat Froddy's score on Bejewelled and failing.
On a flying note the house is looking like I have been flying this week :j:j So that means a couple of hours whizz round in the morning and then the afternoon in front of the tv with Miss Tag watching a dvd I think;)
I am off to bed to finish my book and start a new one. I think I'm turning into a readaholic these days. I'm averaging a book a week at the moment. Is that good, bad or normal?
Tatty nite all and see you in the morning! xxx0 -
soappie and hex thanks for that. I've never heard of black dog before. Learn something new everyday."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi everyone. It's done,
Well done hun and thankyou for posting to let us know. We care about you. Sorry about the dog hair - but I guess it's marginally better than a whiff of BO ...
And I agree with the others. I think the staff would have been lovely anyway, regardless of your small seizure and anything they could or couldn't see on the scan (and they probably didn't look!)
I suspect you had the seizure through sheer fright and nerves but it was good you had it if it meant you were out of it when they did the scan. The short rest in the hospital bed would also have done you good even if you don't think it did.
