Not selfish - just worried sick. So please keep posting whenever you feel the need. As someone else has said, there's usually someone here to listen and reply (even if I usually only make it at the weekend). Hope all goes well tomorrow and 'speedy results' vibes.

    Very well put.

I must go and eat now, but I'll be back to check up on Sandy later (any excuse to avoid housework ;))

Thanks to you all for everything I know I shouldn't be posting this on here so sorry to the BG's

Sandy hun, you're in a crisis, it's perfectly acceptable to be posting that on here. Just tell the BGs you're decluttering some emotions and tomorrow you'll be helping the neuros make a tidy pile of MRI scan results thereby decluttering some pictures of your head and anything that may need tidying within it.

Seriously though - huge hugs. It WILL be an extremely worrying time for you but you WILL get through it. The speed of it all may be scarey, but in some ways that's far better than having to wait for WEEKS for the damned thing.

Sending you coping, healing and relaxing vibes hun. Do keep us posted xxx

Piggers - I'm so glad Tabitha is running around again. Fingers crossed she remains that way.

Reminds me of when DS was a child and ended up in hospital in traction (only legal way to strap a 5 year old down ;) ) because of irritable hip (where a virus settles on the hip joint causing problems walking). He was in about 4 days over a bank holiday weekend of course! I couldn't stay overnight because I had DD and was single parent. But I spent of DD's waking hours there.

On the Tuesday morning I went in to find DS had been released from the traction but one of his cousins (and my niece) had been admitted overnight due to difficulties breathing (associated with hooping cough it seems). So there was a sort of family gathering (SiL was there with niece).

By the time the consultant came to do his rounds, the whole ward was in uproar. Allegedly sick kids running about all over the place, adults chatting and laughing etc. The first thing the consultant said, in a raised voice to be heard above the comotion was

"Discharge them all .... Now!" :rotfl:

Thanks for the vibes though I feel guilty given my request was so insignificant in the grand scale of things. But they worked. I didn't get any interviews but I did get three firm refusals (at last!) so it means I can cross them off the list. Only 4 more to go...

Right, I'm tired and hungry and am going to have really trashy egg and chips for tea.

    penpen - hows ya shiner?

It's fine, thanks for asking :A So as not to frighten people I coverd it with a load of foundation and powder, and disguised most of it pretty well. When DD cam home from college, she remarked about how much better it looked, just before I went out. Should have seen her face when I took off the slap, and she saw the muli-coloured bruising :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It's toots way (and the rest of us) of keeping an eye on you!

You have to post at least once a day to let us know how things are, see post 3 for your special smilie. MSD and LL are on there as well. Doesn't have to be an epic post if you don't want but it's our way to show we all care.
