Sandy - huge hugs love, my Mum has been diagnosed with a brain tumour [very rare one] and she was diagnosed over 2 years ago, treatment that she has had has been successful to date and her long term diagnosis is good, so hang in there and try and stay positive, we'll all help as much as we can even if its only to listen, post as much as you want to, DH is probably [as someone else said] either in denial or trying not to show his feelings but I'm sure he'll be there for you as and when you need him to be - keep posting, we'll all help you through this

Glad it worked out for you. x

I am better on my own and DH has an important meeting tomorrow he can't miss. He wouldn't be any use anyway!
I won't crash the car, I lost my licence because of the fits. I will be on the bus.

I am just so overwhelmed by the support here. I don't know how to thank you all.

Just make sure that your DH knows that if he did come with you, you would appreciate the support.

And you can thank us by making sure you keep posting and letting us know how you are, as otherwise we'll worry about you.

Off to find some food. I failed my blood donation as I have mobile veins and they hit a valve in one arm and a nerve in the other... I feel worse now than I do after a successful donation :o

I know I shouldn't be posting this on here so sorry to the BG's
Tommyrot. We're your friends, and want to stand by you. We have a harder time doing that if you don't post.:o

Now, on a practical note, have you had an MRI before? They're not too awful, and if I (severely claustrophobic AND hospital-phobic) can manage one, I know you can.

One day at a time - you have your appointment tomorrow, so only one sleep to get through; then let the neuro do his job and see what's the best way forward for you.

Once you have a handle on exactly what's going on, then you and the neuro can formulate a plan of action.

Wolfy ((((HUGS)))) for you mate; I'll be with you in spirit tomorrow.

PLEASE post, however briefly, and let us know how you get on.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

glad to hear toots is has a lovely view x

right well since my last post DH came in and scream "where's me tools gone, we've been burgled", haha very funny, cheeky get. Anytime showed him where they are, demanding to know what i'd thrown away and said its all junk now its gone, the council took it. Oh and all the bedding has been taken :D so now loads more space!
Still shocked at sight of my room it just looks enormous can't get over it :D

So did the paperwork, put uni stuff, xmas dec/lights up on the shelves in the office/toy room and it looks so much nicer. Now just need to get the pics up on the wall then the lowly box will finally be emptied :j:j

right i'm shattered, need to put another loaf on and make DH and me some dinner as only the kdis have food up to now and i NEED a cuppa after all the work i've done.

School have reconsidered DS1's essential GCSE Trip after I sent a very carefully worded missive. I haven't had a reply but have heaved a huge sigh of relief. Thought they would - can't afford for students not to achieve targets! ;)

New war with school. They won't let DS2 have 8 days off in July for our family holiday. DD1 and DS1 have A and GCSE Levels so finish at the end of June so for this year only (in 13 years of children in education) I've booked holiday in school time. DS3 has had permission granted by primary school. I'm terrified of fines for all 3 of them as I haven't asked for permission to take DD1 and DS1 out of school as they will have both left by the end of May. £100 x 3 kids x 2 parents = £600 - not very :money:.
No need to worry re the older two - they will have officially left by then, so no problem. As for DS2, it's not always down to the school, as there are guidelines they've got to follow and there are some times when they just can't authorise an absence. However, there are often ways round it. Do you know a sympathetic member of staff who is in a senior position and likely to make an exception? You could say that the whole family needs a break due to exam stress with the older ones.

HTH, and apologies if you've already had similar replies - no time to catch up with the whole thread.

I am sat here crying my eyes out. Thank you all again, I have never had friends like this.

LW I have had MRI's before and I hate them, its the whole head strapped down thing I struggle with.
Neurp said he will put a rush on the results. I think that is partly why I am so scared because everything is happening so fast.

Not selfish - just worried sick. So please keep posting whenever you feel the need. As someone else has said, there's usually someone here to listen and reply (even if I usually only make it at the weekend). Hope all goes well tomorrow and 'speedy results' vibes.
