Sandy two people very close to me have brain tumours diagnosed in the past year. Neither are malignant and both are being treated very successfully and in totally different ways. One of them started having fits and that is how they found out. Keeping everything crossed for you. Please post as often as you want there will always be somebody here to learn on xx
Jinks hugs for you and hope you get more sleep tonight
DS1 dispatched to the corner shop for bread and milk

Time to run the bath and I'll be hitting the sack early as I'm tired and need to be out of here by 8 in the morning. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Sandy, did the neurologist say what happens after tomorrow, I mean has he indicate what kind of treatment you can expect to be offered.
Sometimes just having an idea of what to expect, even in the worst case scenario, can help you formulate your plan of action.
I'm sorry your hubby isn't able to articulate his feelings, I expect he's either in deniel or/and terrified on your behalf and probably doesn't wish to upset you further by not being 'strong' even if strong equates to burying his head in the sand.
Is he going with you tomorrow hun? xxxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Trouble is I have epilepsy anyway so if thats what it is I wouldn't notice if it was causing them. Thank you though I suppose you hear the words brain tumour and just think the worst.Sandy, did the neurologist say what happens after tomorrow, I mean has he indicate what kind of treatment you can expect to be offered.

He didn't talk about treatment or anything, he said we need to find out what we are dealing with first. He did loads of tests, blood, reflexes and spent ages looking in my eyes.
I am going on my own tomorrow, it's probably best.
Thanks to you all for everything I know I shouldn't be posting this on here so sorry to the BG'sSealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -

Thank you all, you are so kind.
Right, here goes.
My neurologist is always very to the point which can be good but maybe not this time:(
Basically he said he thinks it is one of 2 things. Another stroke, which is unlikely because it didn't happen suddenly (my last one was 20 years ago) or a brain tumour. He has got me in for an urgent MRI tomorrow then I have to wait for the results.
I feel sick all the time and I am so scared. I keep crying and I don't know how I will cope with any of this:(
Please don't go to the hospital alone either for the scan, or for the results. I got the all clear and drove into another car on the way out... even if it's good news you need someone there for support. It is a legitimate reason for your husband to take a day off work (dependents leave) and I'm sure his employer and colleagues will understand (in fact, they probably would be horrified if he didn't).
In the meantime, talk to us as much as you like. There are people here who will listen - I expect you saw how much you were missed, so you know we are here for you no matter what.0 -
sandy big hugs to you. I also know someone who was diagnosed with a brain tumor this year, he's now back at work and it was completely benign. At least you have an appointment tomorrow. The support on here is second to none, let people support you. xx
on a flying note the last lot of washing is on a half load quick wash so we'll come back to an empty basketMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I was lucky enough to go through this and come out with the all clear, but I understand how stressful the wait is.

Glad it worked out for you. x
I am better on my own and DH has an important meeting tomorrow he can't miss. He wouldn't be any use anyway!
I won't crash the car, I lost my licence because of the fits. I will be on the bus.
I am just so overwhelmed by the support here. I don't know how to thank you all.Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0
