Thank you all for letting me come and play :)

I achieved Level One yesterday, by finally getting round to sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor at 8pm last night... I spent about 10 hours decluttering the kitchen, reorganising the pantry (ahem - I even found a jar of malt extract that went out of date in 2003!!) and a couple of tip/charity runs. Cooked one meal for our son and then made home made aioli to go with our salmon for hubby and I and he was late...
Saved himself by remarking on how wonderful the kitchen looked :D

Looking forward to today - washing machine just finishing and I should be able to get it all out on the line. Yay.

PS - whats a Binbag Dance????

  • lemanie - LOLs at your definition of 'gibble' (which I have to confess is a new word for me too). Unfortunately, my house appears to be full of the stuff!

msgnomey - Well done on finishing your list!

Frugal Fox - Well done on all your decluttering. It sounds like you worked really hard.

I'm still feeling my way to find out what's going to work for me. I'm thinking I'll probably mark the things on the list 'Cleaner' if it's something she'll be doing and 'Done' if I've done them myself. She's coming in this morning so I'll be spick and span by lunchtime.

    Happy Flying everyone :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
Morning all, positive vibes for Sandy, Soappie and Toots, keeping Ruth and Lady-L in my thoughts.

Laura, sounds like a good plan with your lists, your signature looks like you are making some radical and positive changes in your life, hope it's making you feel better? OH's is the last remaining gibble hotspot in the house, I don't even know what half the stuff is, never mind where it should belong and in our house 'there is a place for everything and everything in it's place'. His Mum was pleased when he moved out because all the drawers that exploded jumbled wires and electronic components moved with him :rotfl:and nearly 16 years later, well......

Glad you had a good night out AnWs-mum.

Had a really poor night's sleep and still have DS2 and DD home poorly so I'm feeling your pain Moam :D.

Off to get dressed, then it's work before flying.

Yup - she's on maternity leave ;) You know the OB with the initials HC - he was on the Board at one time. It's quite sad really
I thought it might be him. Very sad. If it's the son I think I met him a couple of times...odd chap.

no you're not, but often it just suddenly becomes clear... a lightbulb moment!!

moam - hope that you get the work done and manage to stay clear of the D&V.
dusty - hope the fracture clinic isn't too bad

I'm leaving in about an hour and need to shower but not wash hair.

So far have had breakfast, sorted out a few more charity shop things (cookbooks, plastic things from kitchen), loaded the wm to put on when i leave and looked at my long to do list for the week! I also want to write some cards on the train so will get them together and write the addresses on the envelopes, and I also want to hoover out the under bed drawer and pop a sleeping bag in a black bag and stash in there.

ETA: DH has just texted and said that the traffic is horrendous and his bus is taking ages, so I'll have to set off earlier than I thought. I can always grab a coffee if I'm early but I don't want to miss the train as friend is getting hers to get in at the same time!

You really should have seen it before! Does help though that we are putting the house on the market - it really focus' the mind on the decluttering. I mean - do I really want to PAY for someone to move that.... ! :)
