Meeting went well but hair cut for W not so well. After persuading him that it needed doing whilst Miss A was at an afterschool activity we went down the village only to find it was shut! Will have to try again on Wednesday.

Sandy it's good that you have an appointment sooner rather than later, less sleepless nights beforehand and a quicker diagnosis, will eb thinking of you tomorrow.

I had my cast removed to day and my arm has healed at last, just need to build it back up.
Recently I have been having some strange symptoms which I have been trying to ignore but the nurse noticed some today, shakes, losing balance, trouble focusing. Didn't tell her the rest, just said it was fine.
She has requested an urgent appointment with my neurologist and someone should ring me later today.
I am so worried I don't know who to turn to. I'm sorry for complaining I know people are worse off than me here but I don't really have many friends:(

Hugs, babe. I'm epileptic too, came as a great shock when i found out.
    Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I have been very stupid. Put a wash on and forgot to take tissue out of cardi pocket. Got cross, shook cardi and more horrid bits flew onto the nearly dry washing that was on the line. I am such a domestic klutz. What is the best thing to do, pick the bits whilst washing is still damp or leave it to dry and then try and get it off ?

    nice 'friend'

I had my cast removed to day and my arm has healed at last, just need to build it back up. Excellent news!! Lots of oven cleaning and window washing it'll be like new.. :p

you have lots of friends.. there are over 200 on here!!!

I hope the neurologist has called by now.. and write down ALL the problems you are having and hopefully it will get sorted ASAP. It might help get the epilepsy more under control if they figure out what the problem is here!!

Thank you all. At least someone cares.

Unfortunately most of my friends vanished once I was diagnosed with epilepsy. This one has made some nasty comments before. She wants me to listen to all her problems but hates it if anyone else has a problem.

Not sure we will talk again:( Will stick with cyber friends who actually give a s**t.

that is the nature of people I'm afraid.. lots of people are frightened by epilepsy I've found. They are helpless and out of control if you have a seizure and they simply do not know what to do. As a friend I would ask what help I could offer and learn about it so I could be a better friend.. not everyone is that helpful!
Won’t get a STAR for the kitchen due to the dreaded OVEN of doom……I can see it from here and it looks very menacing!!:eek:
But, my mum has just phoned me to give me the number of a man called Mr Muscle who cleans ovens from £45. It’s very tempting (particularly if he is actually quite, well, you know, muscular – :o probably won’t be though) and not very OS……..

go for it.. at least once it is fully cleaned you will be able to stay on top of it with a scrubbing session once or twice a month!!

When my cakes go t1tts up ( and i can promise you it happens very often), i cover it in custard and call it something french!,

FIL stock response to dodgy baking has always been 'nothing a bit of custard wouldn't cure', although now it covers all dodgy cooking and kitchen disasters as a kind of shorthand :rotfl:

Thanks for the look, made me smile, although what did you do while you were washing Robin's lincoln greens, either the hat shrunk or your head has grown.:p:D

And Sandy, yes, positive vibes from here too. x

Ruth/BenW- I just wanted to say so sorry about your mum -
Sandy - don't worry about the appointment just tell them all your symptoms and write down all the things discussed (I'm epileptic and for some reason I always blank on what they're telling me at my checkups)
Time to give a hug to those who need it and a pat on the back to everyone who achieved their goals for today
