Afternoon all, and once again, many thanks to Flylady Central Command.

Ruth I can't possibly know what you're going through; be gentle with yourself over the coming days, and know that your friends hereare thinking of you.
I have been wondering this morning, do people have the TV on, listen to music or fly in silence?
I've got Gold on DD2's rather nice DAB stereo system at the moment and squawking along quite happily to things like Oh Boy and looking forward to the Beatles' day they are advertising for tomorrow, although my neighbours may not, even though I know it is at least vaguely in tune. Oh, and I wasn't even born when these were first released.

On another day, it could be Blondie, Underworld, Chicane, Archive, Portishead or French TV (hoping for a bit of immersion learning there)

What music do other people put on for cleaning?

[good grief, Running Bear is on now]
Tbh, it wouldn't occur to me to put anything on; radio drives me nuts (can't stand the inane DJ's) and getting down on the floor to put a CD on (the player is at floor level) is more hassle than it's worth, as I can't get up afterwards very easily.

Sorry I didn't mean anyone on here. I rand DH and he said he was too busy, rang a friend who said "Oh stop complaining you will be fine" I gave up after that:(

I had my cast removed to day and my arm has healed at last, just need to build it back up.
Recently I have been having some strange symptoms which I have been trying to ignore but the nurse noticed some today, shakes, losing balance, trouble focusing. Didn't tell her the rest, just said it was fine.
She has requested an urgent appointment with my neurologist and someone should ring me later today.
I am so worried I don't know who to turn to. I'm sorry for complaining I know people are worse off than me here but I don't really have many friends:(
Sandy please, PLEASE tell the neuro ALL that's going on. Type it out on a Word document to take with you, if need be (that's what I do when I have to visit the rheumy, because the minute I get in there, my mind goes totally blank). And look, just because your RL friend was unsupportive, you still do have friends. Just we're behind a computer screen. Please, don't think you're all alone.

Early start for me today, when I saw that it was kitchen day. I have a LOT of baking to do (empty cake box here, need bread rolls, apple pie, and pizza dough), so I thought I'd get the place in shape first. Oh, and there's 2 machine loads of washing, plus 1 top that had to be done by hand, merrily drying on the rotary line. I've no doubt I shall be fit for nothing by mid afternoon, and Mr LW has expressed a desire to visit the pub tonight - don't quite know how to say I don't want to go without sounding churlish.:(

    SO.........

    Monday~ Kitchen and Dining room

Clear and wipe table.. clean cloth! Done; tablecloth not used in our kitchen. Also gave the (currently empty) cake box a good wash.
    Level Three
    Scrub out the fridge Done
    Clean oven and hob! Done
Clear window sills of gibble! Gibble gone!
    Extras

    2. HHI None to do; HHWii instead.
    3. Wipe small appliances Done.
    4. Clean out the vacuum cleaner.. wash filters etc! Done yesterday (Mr LW)

As the others have said we're here and there is always someone around to listen... even at 5am (Diva's usually about then ;)) and we have a few antipodeans on the night shift too.

Your friend is NOT a friend judging by your subsequent posts. There have been many, many discussions on here about toxic friends, and the consensus is that none of us need them. It's hard to dump them, but it needs to be done. Admittedly, I have dumped perfectly nice and innocent friends in the past in attempts to get rid of toxic people, hence the emotional turmoil last week.

As for the rest of your friends, if they can't cope with your epilepsy they are very inadequate people. How they'd cope with problems of their own I dread to think. As LW says, make sure you make a note of every symptom and anything relevant you can think of for when you see the neurologist, as the more information you can provide the better. The more they know, and the sooner they know the more chance they have of dealing with it. The stress doesn't help either. There's something about neurologists that seems to be particularly stress-making, however, nice they are. I can face my (fairly unpleasant) orthopod without a qualm, but get incredibly stressed by the thought of seeing my very lovely neurologist.

Fingers crossed that it's all straight forward, but whatever happens we'll be here to listen, so don't feel that you have to keep your worries to yourself. We promise not to judge even if you are working through really unrealistic scenarios that turn out to be totally unfounded. We'll just be happy for you if your worst fears aren't realised, and supportive of anything that you do have to deal with.

... right... better stop pontificating and get back to work...
  • Sandy: Wot the others said. Write it down and be honest with the neurodoc. And come back here as often as you like. xxxx

I've done well: the kitchen is finished, and most of my cooking is done. I'm dying to go out in the sunshine, so just gobbling an early lunch, and out I go.... But not before claiming my star, please, Dep'ty....

    Afternoon all

Lady Lib - fingers crossed sweetie

Sandie - massive hugs, poor health is such a dreadful worry and makes you feel so vulnerable. I'm glad your cast is off and hope you get a referral very soon.

Ruth - be kind to yourself sweetie x I don't think the site likes name changes but it has been done in some circumstances. If not I guess you can start a new and tell us and we'll soon all remember.

I've done a bit of a rescue in the kitchen and had 45 minutes out the front in the sun.

I need to take a few measurements now and then head off out for a bit.

as some of the others have said let the toxic friends go, its far better to have fewer real friends than lots of maybe friends. I hope you get your appointment soon and that you feel able to discuss symptoms in full! :grouphug:

I am now going to find a jumper (its either got cold or I'm not working hard enough!) then clear the clutter from the bathroom that is now in the top hall way then work my way down the stairs (as they are hairy and dusty) might tackle the bin bags from DD's room which are on the landing so I can clean that properly too.

Oh and laddo should be home soon from his school trip since Thursday morning :T:T
