Afternoon all!
Just spent 4 hours marking maths books in Starbucks - I was there so long that the 2 boys on the till had either gone on their lunch break, or they'd gone home cos they had a half day! Spoke to some really nice people whilst I was in there though throughout the morning and afternoon. I had breakfast (fruit toast and coffee as usual), mid-morning coffee, and then lunch (tuna melt panini and a mango and passionfruit ice drink). Spent a small fortune, so not very MSE, but it made the marking seem a bit less horrific.
Also ran into the lovely LadyL, so was able to give her a couple of hugs, and it was nice to see her again. We discussed the meet, and LadyL is really looking forward to meeting some of you. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, look at this.
Can anyone who is interested in coming, please send me a PM?

I've done loads in the back garden and it is looking lovely. Just one more lots of planting out to do today and then I'm finished. There is another bed to deal with but I need to do that after Wednesday as I've filled both wheelies and the dustbin ready for operation recycling bins which I will play on Wednesday.
Just going to prep the dinner and make a quick cake.

All the washing is dry, folded and put away. I've cut the grass back and front, first time this year for the back (which is still like a swamp thanks to the dog
) but second time for the front. Swept it all up and it looks nice and tidy now. One daffodil out and some more in bud, they are much later this year. I even sat outside for an hour reading - cardigan on and sunglasses, good combination

DD has to write a diary of a holiday to a French speaking country. Thanks to Babel Fish and Wiki in French I think we now have an acceptable diary! Trouble is I can READ French reasonably well - but my grammar - well n'est PAS formidable - c'est terrible!
PM me anytime you need help. German, too.Hi everyone
i've decided to start posting again to get some motivation and support because how me and the kids haven't caught salmonella or something worse in the last couple of weeks is a miracle.
Welcome back!toottifrootti wrote: »MrsChaos could you do some marking outside so you can enjoy the fresh air?
Thanks for the thought. I've tried to do that before in summer (to cold to sit still for long today) and sometimes it works. It depends how much stuff I'm surrounded by and how windy it is. DH has accepted responsibility for sorting out the back yard :j, so he's going to take all the gibble to the recycling site and his first main job is to put up the clothes drying thing. He wants to plant veg in containers this year, but knows next to nothing about gardening and doesn't like to be given advice. This could be interesting (that's if it actually comes to anything). I bought him a magazine yesterday, with articles about veg growing for beginners. He thought it was a waste of money. Never mind - I'll enjoy reading it.0
