Can't call or send text messages (Vodafone)
Since about 8am this morning, I haven't been able to call anyone ("connection error") or send text messages. I can receive them with no problems though. I just keep getting a message saying "unable to send message: <name of person>
Is there anything I can do please? I can't call customer care and don't have a landline to call them on either.

I couldn't receive or make any calls or texts on Friday for the whole day with the message No Network Coverage. Try switching your phone off and then back on again - that might work.0 -
Thanks. I did try this earlier and it didn't work. I will try it again. I have followed the instructions on the Vodafone site to check if the message centre number is correct - it is.
Forgot to add - if it makes any difference, I'm on contract.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Only other suggestion I have is to look on the Vodafone Retentions thread and see if a Vodafone Rep is online and ask them if they can help.0

I have a 24 month 75 minutes & 250 text £15pm contract with Vodafone.
The money for this comes out on the 21st of each month.
I checked how many minutes & texts I used yesterday and it said that I have 57mins left & have used 53texts. Now, I haven't phoned anyone and haven't texted that much - probably about 10-15 so far this month.
Is there anything I can do? I've already been down to the Vodafone shop. They checked; but for some reason, it goes from the first of each month - my contract goes from the 21st.
And why, if I don't go over my allowance, is my bill more than £15? I don't have insurance.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Your billing date is the 21st but you inclusive allowance re-sets on the 1st of each month. You need to calculate your usage on a calendar month basis ignoring your billing date, so for this month so far your usage is 18 minutes and 53 texts;)
When you say you used only 10-15 this month I presume you're counting from the 21st. Hope this helps.0 -
Thanks for that; but I am now even more confused:
The man looked up my details and said I'd used 34 minutes so far this month.
Yeah, I am only counting the 10-15 from the 21st.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Don't know if you're aware but you can keep track of your usage by calling 44555 and selecting option 1, this generates a text to your phone which details your call time and text messages used. You may also find, depending on which handset youre using, that you have a call log which will keep track of your accumulated call time.0

Vodafone have changed their billing from calendar month to anniversary billing, so your minutes no longer start on the first of each month.
It could be that your minutes are now refreshed around the 7th of each month since your payment is due two weeks later on the 21st.
If you give 191 a call, they will be able to let you know which billing cycle you are on.0
