Experian & Equifax - Electoral Update?

All local authorities run their electoral services with a small number of permanent staff, and it is complemented with temporary workers at election times and when the register is compiled every Autumn. Although the election has not yet been announced - it is imminent and all these departments in local authorities will be under a lot of pressure preparing for the local council and general elections which will both take place on the same day. It is therefore likely that getting the latest monthly updates (March 2010) to the Credit Reference Agencies will be a low priority for them and may be delayed.

anyone know how i can ask a question about credit reports ? i have been waiting 6 weeks to get mine from experian and still not got it ..do they have to send it within a certain time frame (as equifax/callcredit sent mine weeks ago)?

this is true - i had to do the same with both Experian and Equifax as my address the council had down for is slightly different to how it actually reads - due to it being a fairly new block of flats. It just took a matter of contacting the council's electoral department and then Equifax and Experian and asking them to update their records/match up the records and then this was done within 7 days i found. You can also email them to ask them to do it and they will get back to you once this has been actioned.

Just used the new online Equifax service for 2 quid: works well. It'll be good when the other two are doing it as well (by June).

i joined the electoral roll at the start of the month, i am showing as confirmed on equifax but not yet on experian

My electoral role is showing on both experian and equifax. I'd imagine it varies by council.

Yes the new £2 service for online report, i bet their right P***ed off considering this was a right money spinner for them charging £12 quid a go!
