Leaving Vodafone, how to go about it?

Hi all,

I've had a play with the search function but this is all still a little unclear to me, I was hoping someone could help!

I have 49 days (as of today) left on my current 18-month Vodafone contract, and haven't been able to get the deal I wanted from them that meets an offer on Orange's website.

Do I send my letter/e-mail informing Vodafone of my wish to cancel and request for PAC code now or do I wait until there are 30 days left?

I ask this as I'd quite like to get my shiny BlackBerry as soon as possible, I'm quite sick of this boring old Nokia 6300!

You can request your PAC by phone at any time and they accepted my 30 days notice at the same time. You will have to pay you line rental/tariff up to the end of your contract usually and any outstanding call charges - they issue you with a final bill after disconnection.

PS they closed my account at the point at which my number transferred to 3.

go into orange tell them what you want and give them your pac number,they will do the rest mate i know as ive done it

Perhaps our vodabone rep would like to tell us what you type into search on the Vodafone page to get the info ?

After trying terminate, termination, end and leave I came to the conclusion that it was a sign of a poor company trying to make it as difficult as possible for me to terminate.

I telephoned and was assured that they would change it - that was a year ago
