Have you looked on autotrader for similar models? Might be useful to knock their price down within budget, and for the £100 refund - get it in writing!! Lost count of the number of threads on here saying X dealer is refusing to return my deposit even though verbally they apparently said they could....0

Don't let yourself get intimidated, as said, just politely and firmly tell them no to anything you don't want, ignore them if they "get funny" with you. It's either an act or frankly none of your concern if they want to "get funny" and deserves to be ignored.
Test drive a Verso somewhere too. I recon the S-Max and Verso are the best of the full time 5 seater compact MPV bunch and will most likely be test driving these two for my wife later in the year.0
