Thought that might be the case; may I make a suggestion? Perhaps you could answer the thread stating that this is something you have 1st hand knowledge/experience of and to PM you if they would like more info. That way, it puts the onus on *them* to ask for more and you haven't divulged anything sensitive.
I suppose some may even find your openess (especially as you say, the info is sensitive) a bit .... overwhelming?? Some do not want to be too familiar with other posters and like the anonimity of being able to ask questions w/out getting too personal. Just a thought.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I do not think Bridie wanted "Thanks" as such but just an acknowledgement that the post or pm had been recieved and wether it was helpful.
Thanks:) Thanks:) Thanks:)
Not being sarcastic just getting in my appreciation in advance as Bridie is always helpful."This site is addictive!"

Yes, an acknowledgment would have been nice.
I think I will take Queenie's advice though and put the onus on them!!
Ah, thanks Elona, I didnt know I was always helpful!!0 -

It is nice to receive a reply (however brief - just 'thanks' even). Sometimes the trouble with PMs etc you can feel a bit stranded if you don't get a response as we have no other ways of contacting our 'cyber friends'. It's not as though we can 'phone them up and 'hey, didn't you get my message?'0

One of the good things about the new site is that you can request a confirmation of receipt. At least now you now that somebody has actually received the pm. They are just choosing to ignore you!0

jo_b - doh! I hadn't noticed that! Thanks for pointing it out.0

I receive more PM's than I send and always send a note of thanks back ... however brief; common courtesy in my book if someone's taken the time and trouble to help me out (or try to).
I suppose we have to accept that not everyone's as "polite" as we are. Know what you mean though bridie ... a lack of manners really gets to me as well. Suppose we have to feel sorry for those without a conscience, though I'm sure the vast majority of people who frequent this forum are not like that and you've just been unlucky.
Thanks jo_b for the receipt info. ... not noticed that.:rolleyes:Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
Perhaps some people might think there mythering you, if they keep sending PM's, so perhaps it's not always intentional that it comes across that they may not be polite
Its possible.:)
