I need advice and also want to know if anyone else had any bad experiences with very.co.uk.
I ordered a M&P pushchair around the end of Jan 2010 at very.co.uk website and in their descriptions said includes carrycot, which M&P sold seperately and i thought it was a bargain so I ordered it. Got an e-mail confirming order and delivery by the end of Feb. March comes and no pushchair. I called and they said they would cancel order and reorder it for me. I said yes and five days later I got the pushchair BUT no CARRYCOT.
It was never mentioned to me that there was a change in their descriptions or that there was a misprint. Even the catalog that was sent to me said the same thing on the website the first time I ordered the pushchair.
in their terms and conditions they said they would tell me of any changes in descriptions that they have identified. I read reviews and they knew about the misprint but still fail to tell me of it.
so when i called they said there was a misprint and that it doesn't include the carrycot. but to me they should honour what they sold me in the beginning. they never told me of any changes. also when i called the lady said she would order the carrycot and then when i got it to call very.co.uk back and get a refund, but she went back on what she said and changed her mind and told me that i would be charged.
i told them about the false descriptions under the trade descriptions act, but she said the original order was cancelled and that the new order was under the new descriptions even though i didn't order from their website as i was using the catalog the second time (no internet access..was down). I told them that i wasn't told of any changes in descriptions. any help??? PLEASE IM DESPERATE.

How long have you had it?
If less than 7 days - one option would be to return the item, and get your money back.

My personal opinion is that its your word against there's, and while you could potentially go further I do wounder if its worth the effort.
I would also close the account with them.
Hope this is of help.0 -
well... if i buy it at mamas and papas direct it would cost me £250 for pushchair and £100 for carry cot... so total is £350.. i bought it from very at £200 wihch said includes carry cot... saving me £150. I have assembled it already and do not intend on returning it. They have recordings of the conversation and i have screenshots of the website advertised at time of purchase. I will tell them to listen to recording of conversation to confirm what they told me and they did'nt tell me at the time.Saving is my middle name:money:0

They seem to have many shop fronts Very, Littlewoods, Additions, Marshall Ward, Kays, Choice, Empire and they even bought the Woolworth.co.uk name last year.
I'm experiencing the mix up they can have selling same product at different prices on different sites, signing me up to Credit Agrreements as an enticement to get a discount on Xbox Kinect at Very.co.uk and then withdrawing the offer on the same day and not allowing me to buy the product even though the price was shown on their site most of the day, even after that.
Even their customer service person on the phone said 'don't worry if I sign you up now you can still use our voucher on that offer up until the end of December'. But then the door was closed, yet they still hold my details, they have not offered to delete them and they are now hiding behind spurious T&Cs
Shocking. I've set up a Facebook Very.co.uk Bad Customer Service fan page to see who else is experiencing bad service. Search for it on Facebook and please do 'Like it'
It wouldn't hurt them to deal with these small matters quickly and helpfully. The few pounds they might lose in profit on an initial purchase will come back many times over because a happy customer is the best customer. In a world of message boards, social media and the like brand reputation is worth having good customer service for. I know already my experience has put off 3 others from buying the same product on the Very.co.uk website. Commonsense rarely prevails, but let's hope this time it does. I fight on.0 -
I bought a television from them earlier in the year... never again0

To be fair to them it was up too you to check the address when you placed the order, that was your mistake, not theirs. You can understand if someone has signed for it then as far as they are concerned the order has completed. Hopefully you will sort it out but you need to accept some responsibility here, you placed the order for the wrong address.0 -
