Well; That would be fraud if you issue a cheque knowing that you do not have the funds to pay the cheque!

That is something that I would NOT do...

Maybe you should start smoking again!!!

    GoodBye...

So do you now understand how a cheque book with or without a CGC and even an offline debit card is deemed as a credit facility? :rotfl:

We are now taking them to the Financial Ombudsman...

I never thought that they upgraded anyway....I think you will find the Ombudsman will just refer you to the T&Cs of the Cashminder Account. If it does`nt say they will automatically upgrade then you don`t have a case.

Mis-information happens all the time...simple errors happen & you have had your apology. I don`t see what more can the Bank or the Ombudsman do.

I will stick my 2p's worth in for what it is worth. I think the heading is a little unfair as to many the Cashminder account is a lifeline. So what if it does not come with a cheque book as this will be the last thing on peoples minds when they are facing real financial difficulties and desperate for a bank account.

Not having a cheque book has certainly not held me back as they are hardly used these days hence the banks stopping them in a few years from now. Most places take other payments methods now and in fact prefer them as they get charged less for the transaction.

I know where i am with the cashminder and i love it and so do many others.

It will be interesting to see if Natwest do let you have that account as i have never heard of anyone getting one with a cheque book and im sure if they did we would have seen it on here. You may find you were given miss information on the phone from them. I will look forward to the NATWEST - BEWARE post next week. :rotfl:

I think you need to take a breath. I did not read what you wrote correctly but is there a need to come back in such a bullish manner.
