Whats the big deal about a cheque book anyway. They will be obsolete soon anyway. I for one am grateful that Co-op are giving us an account and then I can pay by D/D. My Dad went BR 10 years ago and all he could get was a basic savings account with a building society to have his wages paid in.

In terms of credit. I hope I can find a way in the future to never need to get credit again, you know like people in the olden days. I don't think I will have a mortgage again, far to tying.

Well it must do if your getting a cheque book?

You can not have a cheque book on a step account.

Therefore by having a cheque book you can gain credit :-)

Anyone who holds a cheque book regardless of having a CGC can still potentially have a credit facility. !!!

Well; That would be fraud if you issue a cheque knowing that you do not have the funds to pay the cheque!

That is something that I would NOT do...

No on the contrary I have a wonderful happy peaceful life. Okay I miss the sex, but I am still very happy.

In fact I would go so far as to say if I had lived my life the way I do now, I probably wouldn't have had to declare myself bankrupt because I wouldn't have been so f3ckless. :A
