Leaving three...

I got rung two saturdays ago by a three representative on an 0845 number. I answered it whilst sitting in my ambulance (parked) and got a call whilst on the phone to them, so after telling the guy three times I had to go, I was in an ambulance and had an emergency call I finally stuck the phone down on him, him protesting all the way to the off button.

Now every single day I'm being called by their number (0845) for about 2-3 seconds. If I manage to answer it then I get cut off. I tried ringing back to double check it was three but they seem to want me to queue to upgrade my phone...

Lovely tactics to make me spend money on 'upgrading' via expensive 0845 numbers!

I've been with them for 12 months on a £30 a month contract and want to leave - the 500 minutes was great but went mainly unused and the 100 texts are swallowed up in a day. What's the chances of getting 500+ texts (don't care about the minutes) for about £15 a month + new phone?

This doesn't really sound like 3 contacting you. I would bet that it was some 3rd party company trying it on. I've never known 3 to contact anyone with an 0845 number as all of their representatives are in India

I've been getting these calls as well! Never answered one, though.

There are loads of deals for texts, check out e2save.

I also received a text from a supposedly new service called 'checkmytariff.com'

You may want to give them a try.
