Thanks wolfman sorry if i seemed aggressive too. I like putting a point across haha.
It really depends on what you do with the software, what you want from it to what type of package you download. But if you already have itunes, anapod isn't a replacementThats why i hated that review above, as it compares the 2 together. If it was biased towards itunes anapod would look awful! No video playback ability, no records of play counts, no music store, no rating ability etc etc etc....
Just like anything really[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Hey I only posted a link and gave my opionion of how to resolve the problems the OP asked for. The program is good unlike how I found Itunes who since they blotted it further with quicktime now crashes on my pc. Anapod explorer manages music too but you cant buy music. via it. It also included a copier to backup you tunes, so its more than just a explorer, hence what OP asked for
I never stated that the differences in Itunes and Anapod was fact mealy I copied a link that Anapod stated the difference. Of couse its biased from the company, it still does the job I want it to do and it does what Op asked for in his 1st post.
I dont buy mp3 music its a rip off. Cd's are far better value and I no wolfman does the same as I, ripping to mp3 using lame at various bitrates0 -

No hard feelings poppyMy strong reply is simply to educate other users of the forum who arent interested in the OP's question.. see that anapod is apparently better than itunes so go buy it...
The problem is poppy, you copied a link to prove anapod being better than itunes.. now if your opinion is that anapod is better, thats fine.. but by posting biased reviews.. lets be honest now.. not the best way of advising people
I advise that if someone wants what anapod does, go for it. If not, use itunes. but DONT compare the 2 as they are completely different pieces of software!! That do not live to do the same thing!
As for the quicktime thing.. it's easy enough disable quicktime from running at startup (in preferences) so all you lose is 2mb worth of disk space for that.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Errrr... hmmm
*do i argue*..All i'll say is that's wrong
Unless there is a network with an external file server where it would be VERY easy to create an automatic backup system (easy with certain programs as long as a file server around)...
If not then backup every day? !!!!!!? I don't think anyone in the world would give that advice to the average computer user.
Personally I advise people to backup whenever they have new important data on the pc. Whether this be daily, weekly or monthly.. if you back up and theres no new data its a waste backing up again the next day. If after a month you have some new emails/data.. then go for a backup!
There are also online faciltiies for automatic backup....
NO "PC crazies" say backup every day to an average home user.
EDIT: Except those who drink too much coffee (which I suppose is quite a lot granted but hey.. mmm caffeine.. which reminds me.. brb going to make a coffee)[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Lol, yeah. Sorry but I'm gonna have to join in.
You backup depending upon how important your data is, and how often it changes. If it only changes once a month, then fine, backing up every month is perfect.
The trick with backing up, is firstly to have more than one method of backing up (strength in depth), secondly to check it's working/happening, and thirdly to check you can actually recover from the backups."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
