shards of glass in my tinny !

Options
sat enjoying a few cans of a well known cider and my mouth has been cut by a shard of glass that has come from the tin. ( not literally from the tin , but in the liquid ) "swirling " the remainder of the contents would appear that there is more in the tin. fired off an email and have preserved the shard and remainder of the tinny for inspection. Is there anything else I should do ?

thanks

  • Oh my goodness  That gives new meaning to a sharp cider!

Hopefully you're not too badly hurt.

I wouldn't drink the other tins either (I'm assuming you bought a multi-pack)

Luckily it wasn't anything more serious. What sort of outcome are you looking for?

I imagine he'll be looking carefully at the next can to see if any further glass is outcoming.

it was a 4 pack , and the other 3 are sat with the offending 1.
not looking for anything really (a replacement 4 pack would be sufficient )
luckily i had a spare pack to ease the pain lol.
gave them serial number from offending can and hopefully they can investigate what has caused this and prevent it happening again!
just want to make sure they have everything they need to investigate really

    report them to trading standards.
  • digp , even the biggest of companies ( this is one of them ) have production problems now and then . i am not looking to penalise them in any way , just to inform them of a potential problem. i have no interest in financial gain as it was only a small cut and not something from "chainsaw massacre ". IF they laugh it off or deny , then i will take further action , but if i get a satisfactory response then at least i can save people from this situation.

my question merely asks if i have done everything i need to so they may carry out an investigation to remedy the situation.

    thanks for your input tho
