in Water bills
Hi
i have had my new bill for the 10/11 tax year for £381.43.
I live in a one bed flat, with no washing machine nor dishwasher. My RV is £161.
My waste water charge is £201.25 and water charge is £180.18.
I am unsure if this is high and am pretty certain that I can not have a water meter.
Any comments/help is very welcome.
Thanks in advance

If your bill is based on the RV then it doesn't matter if you have a washing/dishwasher or not.
The charge is derived from the RV, but will depend on your water authority area.
Why do you think you can't have a water meter? If you apply for one and it cannot be fitted for technical reasons, then you can then apply to be billed on an assessed value instead. However you must first be refused a meter.
If you are a low user then this may be your best option. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks for the advice
I live in a block of 10 flats, so that's why I thin'k I can have a meter.
I may ask for someone to come out and have a look, as you say it seems the best way forward.c/c debt [STRIKE]£3845.55[/STRIKE]13/10/10

You don't need to ask anyone to come and look, just apply for the meter and they will come and survey it for you and tell you yes or no.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
